Unknown location

Currently there is a bug from the 6Mar07 patch that effects both guild roster, and /who. Currently, if you use /camp to exit the game, the system does not appear to detect the logout, character location on the guild roster is changed to Unknown location and they appear to be still logged in. Currently on <Test Pirates> we have 6 out 0f 8 members that are listed as unknown location and not there. Strangely 3 of those also come up on the /who all with unknown location as well.

what we DO know, is that this only effects /camp. If you /exit, then everything clears fine.



...strange loging on to find one of your alts already listed there.. was trying to figure out who snuck out of bed and what they were doing.

This is due to them sitting at character select, technically they are in game but not "in" the game, hence the unknown location.

If its not a bug treat it as one. Its damned annoying in game. Last night I thought have my guild was just ignoring me until I noticed I couldn't /tell them

I have passed this on to the coders. Let's hope they feel as we do, as I agree that this is annoying.

I don't think it's due just to sitting at char select. This morning on Live, for instance, my husband was playing his alt (let's call him Bob*) and my socials list showed me that his main, Alfred, was online at an "Unknown location."

*names have been changed to protect the innocent.

Of course there is also the case of sepiid, and his 6 alts of the iid persuasion. Until recently every one of his alts was listed as this. Too many people used to /camp <alt name> to switch to another character without going to character select like in eq2 I think.
