Re: Sig files and such
Should be able to enter a graphic in your sig file, you just need to use BBcode to do it instead of HTML. Since you already have a sig you'd just need to modify it to something like this:
PHP Code:
Your sig will be uploaded and you'll be taken to a page with it on it. Scroll down to the bottom and copy the BB image code to your signature section in the User CP. Thats all you need to do! Right now I have sig sizes restricted to 400x150 so all sigs will need to be within those dimensions. Have fun!

at the bottom of my sig cettings under User CP it says img off and I cannot find a place that lets me turn it on. I believe that is a forum admin ability. HeLp Me hehe  |

Re: Sig files and such
Fixed the img code restriction. I had it on for registered users but theres a global setting I had off. To delete an image just goto the image tools menu and edit the image. You'll see where to delete it.

Re: Sig files and such
Good idea Pirotess for making this thread a sticky, as I did not know that I could have a graphic signature and I’m sure quite a few newcomers later on might not know that.
Might get one once I see more of Soulpainter’s work when he gets his site up and running.

Re: Sig files and such
Just made a bug fix to the Signature gallery that was causing it to watermark peoples signature files with our Exclusive Screenshot logo. You should be able to reupload your sig files there now without any interference. You can delete old watermarked files by clicking on the Image Tools menu at the top right of the image, selecting Edit Image and then checking the Delete this image checkbox before saving the file.

Re: Sig files and such
Can sig files be animated, not big animations, just tiny ones, in the KB's? And if so what would the size limit be, you gave us the dimensions, of 400x150 but what about the size, cause even a real fancy still picture can end up as a fairly large file size.

Re: Sig files and such
Sig files really need to stay under 50k in my opinion. Any larger and people on slower connections start having trouble loading some of the larger threads when a bunch of people with sigs post to them. If you can get an animation in under the 50k mark then go for it.

Re: Sig files and such
Please can you do something about the number of lines taken up in a sig.
When people's signatures become 3 to 4 times longer than their posts it becomes unreadable. Please can you limit it to 3-4 lines? The example I give can be seen in the 2nd post on the following thread. http://www.vanguardspheres.com/forum...want-play.html I know I have the option to turn them off, however I find peoples' sigs and sig art good in general just some people get carried away and you end up with a story/sig. |
