Suggestion
When you are in a forum, it would be helpful if there were an indicator on the icon next to the threads that indicates if you have a post in a particular thread

By default there is. It was just difficult to show it nicely with our new skin. In lieu of the icon clutter we added the My topics link to the navbar that only shows you threads you've posted and My Replies which only shows you threads you've participated in.
