I know that but right now I can be off the forums for a whole day and the same threads will still be there without new posts. The activity of these forums isn't very high so it's not a problem now. I generally don't click on the forum link though and it might be because that the forums page is somewhat haphazard. I guess it's a bit too big and might need some revision maybe having a link for all of the different sections of forums such as one for the diplomacy spheres forums and another for the adventuring sphere forums etc. Don't take my word for it though design really isn't my specialty but it seems like it would be easier to click a few times than having scroll through the giant forum page.

You probabally should get a second opinion before changing anything though.

Nah its a good opinion and a change I mentioned in my second post. Now that we've dropped in our new icons (Good job Lycrist!) I'll be restructuring the forums today to make it more compact.

Unless, of course, you are a forum spammer and then your post count will go through the roof! Also, to add to the thread, I browse pretty much the same way you do but also did not know about the arrow, that's awesome! Hehe.

First I go to new post then I follow up on topics I started and others that interest me. I almost always have to spend less time then I would like looking however.

Re: How do you navigate the forums?

I use pretty much all methods available to me - I'm only limited by time, which sometimes forces me to skip some topics.

The forum organization is very nice in my opinion. I like the icons and the way you have renamed the subforums - it makes for a pleasant forum reading experience.

+1 ; I'm very at ease with those boards (is this turn of phrase correct ? ), I think it is clear, detailed but not too much.

I don't see what you could change for now

By the way the "arrow feature" is a cool feature, but a bit funker

Re: How do you navigate the forums?

I usually look at subscribed threads first. Then I browse most of the forums reading the headlines. If anything is new and looks interesting I stop and read.

If it dosnt look interesting like these:

" Hey moderators Look here."
" Leet vs noob" Seen way to many of these and dont really care to add to the flame fests in these topics.
"PK" Anything to do with PKing as I'm not in to it. Blueby all the way.

I dont stop.

Things I do stop and read...

"Quick question. " I'm always willing to help someone.
"Bard" Anything to do wtih bards.
"Crafting" Just about anything to do with Crafting.

Then there are posts I'll read if there by someone I'v noticed to have well thought out posts. Even if there in one of the normally passed by threads.

Basically I look at the headlines. (like a newspaper) and check out the ones that interest me.

  1. Load front page.
  2. Click "New Posts"
  3. Open interesting threads in tabs.
