Gonna give that a try. I only just discovered the reimaging tool to shrink the pic...think I'll play around with backgrounds and come up with something along the lines of a dwarven paladin or death knight....I'd like to see other work you two have as well!

Here are some of the magelo backgrounds I've done... this is a very small drop in the bucket..
Banerm Ialasya Luthian (text says 'not all that wander are lost' - in elvish, and not just the letters, the actual language) Mine Kilhunh Mavrak Revasttub Nadinae (this one prolly not work safe) AElfin Menien (my sweetie) Titaan Nataja Vive |

My interpretation:
) but I wanted to keep in the spirit of the original.I added a cropped piece of the sky from http://www.thedruidsgrove.org/elemen...Grove_2of2.jpg which I had already resized to 1024x768 (my current desktop wallpaper, heh) and as such fit the 150 pixel high image better. I also removed the Vanguard logo, I couldn't find a way to fit it in without the image seeming cluttered, so I added your tag line in an 8 point bitmap font, the same one I used for the Sun Tsu quotes when I made some EQ2 sigs. The 1 pixel wide stroke around the outside helps make it look less "pixely", it looks REALLY good with a black stroke too, but again I wanted to keep to the spirit of the original. Looking at it myself after I'd typed the above, I notice that the light sources don't match background to foreground - I might fix that... |

Just downloaded Gimp last night myself, still toying with it (took me an hour just to figure out how to get started  ).
Need to know what the max specs are for size and pixel and such in order to have my sig hosted, or better yet a suggestion as to a good size ( Totally new to sig building but I'm hellbent on doing it myself ). |

Our limits are 450 pixels wide by 250 tall. Everything you need to know about hosting a signature file can be found in this thread.
