Haha, man, no the artists who do the work for free and propagate this whole "love of the craft" starving artist crap are the bane of all artists. Literally. You think someone just let artists back in the day sit around and paint beautiful masterpieces? "Here you go, here's a nice bedroom, a studio, free paint, free canvas, and food too! Paint away, master..." Yeah. Not happening. All so that after you die some schmucks can trade around your art like a luxury commodity?
Anyway, nice pic. Would have liked to see feet on it though. I see the hind leg is back there but it's really awkwardly cut off. Would think about the composition more next time. One of the rules of thumb about figures (even for animals and dragons) is to not cut them off at the waist, the knees, or the ankles. |
