Dread Knight Abilities

Not sure if this worked right, but which ability can you not live without?

Definitely going with lifetaps here, although self buffs are a close second. If anyone has any others to add, just state them, I forgot to add an 'other' option.

Well, considering we don't know anyhting about the DK's current abilities, I can do nothing but go off the EQ model of the SK, from which this poll was created. And imo, the DoT spells are most important to me. Sure Lifetaps are cool, but thats why i have a healer with me. those dots will increase my agro even between swings.

Lifetaps all the way! Not the weak ass ones from EQ SK's but fierce cave in their eyeballs type of life drains. Life drain over time, Direct Life Tap, and Debuff's. I also love the Darkness/slow line of spells. Fear I can do without because it always drew adds and or did not work. A line of critical kill moves would satiate. Even something like a head but to stun an opponent and enrage them. Speaking of Visuals and agro at this point *grin*

DoT lifetaps would be perfect

Also sacrificing health for damage would be pretty swell...who knows what they'll think of.

I voted for DoTs, as an ex shaman I have an affinity for them There is nothing quite like burning a mob down with 2 or 3 stacked poisons :twisted:

You know I really feel that debuffs are the most important of the dread knight abilities but that wasn't an option so I went with life drains. Also it is important to note that it has already been said that the dread knight is not going to be like "EverQuest's" shadow knight. After the removal of the summoner class I would bet money that the "Vanguard: Saga of Heroes" dread knight will not be able to summon pets to fight for them in combat. This is a good thing as it will allow the dread knight to form it's own identity instead of becoming a gimp necromancer.
