Yes really im using the exact same axe as he is when he is in DPS mode. He was sword and board last night and I still couldnt draw it off him when i ahd 2h out, i even used taunts/torture. He has to wait long after other DPS starts before he can start without aggroe, Incantation of hate helps but a 10min CD makes it kinda useless for clearing non bosses.

I find the same thing but to a lesser extent to paladins. Myself and a guild paladin are equipped pretty much to the dot exactly the same gear, and I'll often lose agro if i don't absolutely tear my guts out spamming. Each time I go out though, he seems to be touting some new ability... I just discovered last night about some new judgement that heals for 120-150 per hit, that lasts for 60 seconds... Apparently that's broken atm, but tick items like that, if those heals are generating heal agro, it's really not surprising that he rakes me for agro if he doesn't tone it down the output.

That said, i've given up trying to MT with another tank in the group, it screws the group too much with agro bouncing. I take OT position, as I know i can do that job properly, while utilising despoil to make things roll, and scythes when possible to mitigate the heals I'm requiring.

Agree with the OP though, I've done the same except for a static group all that time (DK - 50, as loads have done obviously), I enjoy the class, but it just feels a little empty at the top end. I think realistic cool downs on the top end skills, and certainly adding some more punch to the core skills would give us some "zest".

If Incantation of hate was usable every fight so you could double DoT. I mean the class is fun and all, but im a great tank, I would like to be able to MT them guild i built and not be forced into the OT role. I mean i like the idea of rotating tanks but as the classes stand right now, I can only rotate pallies and warrs. I mean the double DoT would probably do well in making up for low crit rate and get us the early aggroe we need to get to DC5.

The point is "every tank" no matter their class should have to work to maintain aggro. As a warrior, I will say that, when not tanking it is our responsibility to NOT pull aggro from the MT. You are doing nothing wrong. When the Warrior "tanks" classes pull aggro from them as well. It is up to every class to "know their role" and cut back on DPS when consistently stealing aggro from the MT. Rogues in the past have had this issue and those that play the class will tell you it is their responibility to manage their aggro. Especially in a raid scenerio, it is the DPS responsibility to Maximise DPS while minimizing aggro. The tank will ALWAYS be doing everything they can to be able to maintain aggro, but when a "tank" is acting as DPS they should be doing the same as the other DPS. Maximizing without stealing...

Unless you have a prohibitively high cooldown on your stance changes that I am not aware of, I doubt that stance dancing into offensive for a force crit chain, then back to defensive would be very difficult.

Actually, they do. I think its about seven seconds or so, which we also get. That, and a 400% finisher IN defensive stance generates a lot more agro than it would in another stance.

Even without specific crit gear, you can get an extra 10-15% just through dex wearing the right stuff. That helps you parry more anyways. I craft my own armor, and im enjoying my block/parry rates and the dps with full str/dex armor.

If all else fails, group with a pair of bards. You'll be hitting like a truck every time 8)
