Wow.... That is.... Cool... I've used it heaps as an off tank (Wait for main to pull, SS > PB), then jumping on, essentially buying a 30-45s head start on the additional mob. But the thought of being an constant CC'er, that's truly awesome...
The stuff about dark bastion, I beg to differ though, with that short a duration, and our closest way to force a crit being in the last 20% of a mobs health (which unless it's a high end 6 dot, doesn't take long to vanish), it was unreliable at best to keep yourself buffed with both (Shield was fine, to keep armour up was a pain without having your group stutter on the dps to make sure you'd fired it). Dark Bastion needs an AC boost buff at later levels (static +183ac per level, it's handy, but surely should scale?) followed by better implementation of DC (slow disperse instead of immediate dump) and it will be a much more efficient tool to use. Sure, there are times when you would of been able to maintain yourself at high buff on both sections of that chain, but.... Agreed, the effect is no longer as good as it was, but it's a more "efficient" use, which allows your time and endurance to be spent in dealing more agro/damage. Tit for tat. If you insist on stopping posting these sideways insights, feel free to pm them onto me I'm keen to try things out. |
