Something wrong with Despoil?
Well, i've been doing the mantis quests in the swamp(the hard to spell/pronounce name leaves me atm) and well some of the treants i've been killing like to buff themselves with spirit link, this is fine and all since we can despoil it, but it seriously irritates me that I have to cast it TWO times in order to remove said buff, it's not the spell failing, it ALWAYS takes 2 spell casts to remove buffs like this, why?

Yes there is something wrong with it.
I posted this in one of the other bug/issues thread but the entire line needs to be 'increased in effectiveness' again. You ALWAYS have to cast it multiple times for it to work and basically by the time you get it to work the time spend has negated any advantage that would have been gained from using it in the first place. |

all tank spells need to be instant.
6second Bane 2 second Cull "X" second Despoil (dont recall exact length of cast) 1.5 second on str/vit wis/int debuffs.... I CAN EITHER DEBUFF OR TANK, I CANNOT DO BOTH WITH EFFECTIVENESS. Don't know about you guys, but I do feel like I am being pushed into debuffing role. FFS, in Rahz Inkur last night (we were a 48 lvl group), my war buddy was tanking everything, while I spent most of my time raising DC so we can kill shit. I have had 2.5 roles in my group (given that our grp includes 2 tanks) for entire past few weeks. I could: A) stay on sidelines and concentrate on debuffing, by the time I am done with that, mob is at 60% hp - yeah 5-6dot mobs in Rhaz are hard to kill. Rest of the fight I try to DPS best I can. B) if we encounter a triple mob pull, I grab the heaviest hitting melee mob, and Bleak Foeman it all the way while my group is dealing with the other 1-2 mobs. This is with WAR having no problem at all tanking 2 mobs at once, and when the time comes, he just takes the mob I been "tanking" and I can do nothing about it. I been BFing this mob for past 3 minutes, with a dot or occasional counter attack here or there, or even WoD right away to gain aggro, and he just comes and takes it, even if I do try to keep aggro when the time comes to fight it. that is wrong. C) - and this is HALF a role - very rarely am I able to tank. In fact, most of the times I gotta try and tank 2 mobs when there is 4-5 in camp. And to be able to do that, I have to have them positioned right to SoD all 5 or I will die most likely. I tank w/ dps when my war friend goes LD, or when he is AFK, or if I rescue him. It is just plain non-efficient for me tank! I increase group dps so much by debuffing to DC5, that I feel I am almost forced to spend my first 10 cycles each mob casting DC. P.S. the group is WAR DRK SHM BM BRD RNG. And above posted is not due to gear, my raw mitigation is around 47% unbuffed in def stance, which is about same as WAR. He tanks better due to him being LG, having 120 STR on me even though I maxed it every level. His ATK Numbers (with the exact same weapon shield setup) are a range 120 above my range. Our INT based Provoke (yeah it is still based on intel), still doesn't scale same as melee damage scales. |

I know how you feel Velzuvel , I get passed up all the time for tanking over a war in my guild. Because the war can take aggro off anything anytime. Me i haveto wait a bloody minute for my instant aggro to pop, what the hell dude make tanks kinda equal not one Waaaaaayy beter then the other.

Hopefully we get some attention soon. As far as Despoil, sometimes it strips the enchantment first cast, against higher level mobs/spells it takes multiple. I imagine that's intentional. Otherwise what's the point of the line? Just have a single spell that strips anything first time no questions asked? Some spells SHOULD be harder to dispel.
