What ever happened to this vision of DC?
I've always felt DC should remain in its current state as long as the DK is in combat. Having it reset with every new mob is for lack of a better word, tedious. Then I recalled a point about DC that was explained by dev's way before Vanguard was released. Here it is straight from the horses mouth.
A passive ability of the Dread Knight. This ability induces fear into an enemy while in combat, acting as a debuff that gets worse as the battle drags on. There are 5 levels to this ability, with higher levels affecting multiple targets. The dread knight needs not have the attention of the target for it to work. As you level up higher, you are allowed to achieve higher levels, but at level 1 you are only allowed to attain one level of dreadful countenance. Taken from http://wiki.silkyvenom.com/index.php...ul_Countenance I do remember dev's stating this so it is not something someone made up and posted on wiki. So what does this mean? My interpretation is that DC is MEANT to remain at its current level as long as the DK is in combat. I've never bothered to check if my DC was applied to other mobs in combat since I'm so busy building DC on the current target. But in light of what was explained by devs on how DC worked, if DC is being applied to all targets, doesn't it make sense to have DC remain at its current level when switching targets? |

Currently DC is bugged. Go figure.
Right now they way it works is that while you are on single target your DC will rise on that target as indicated by the DC dots on your opponent target window. While that mob is alive that DC level is spread out on every mob with in radius. It does infact effect every mob with in radius. The bug is that once the mob dies it does not maintain it drops back to 0. I made the joke to avair about this "The rise and fall of the tide" It is not suppose to fall unless the mob goes outside of the radius then it should gradualy depleet. They are working on it so that it actualy raises on all mobs, and stays at level on evey mob no matter if the one engaged dies or not. They know about it they are working on it. ETA none given.

Good Lord!!!
I was wandering why when I was tanking a mob, and my warrior friend was tanking a mob, his mob had half a DC mine had, even though I have not so much as even look at it... and Than my mob dies, and his is back at 0 DC... puzzled the daylights out of me... now I know at least! |
