My experience with a dread knight.
I just finished looking at all the posts on the forum more or less. I am level 15, and I just checked out these forum posts. It is true, a lot of things need to be fixed. I noticed that AoD doesn't show any stat improvements etc. Malice does seem to be on a long timer, and you all say devour strength used to be much buffer, which sounds awesome.
I didn't play a dread knight pre-launch, and I have to say that on a scale of 1 to 10 Dread Knights rank about a 5. I played a warrior to 15, and loved it. I'm not gonna shy away from the dread knight for one instance though. The reason is because, it can only get better from here. So lets all remember, to take all the things that need fixing, and all the bugs etc. in stride. Personally, I enjoy being the underdog class. It's only a matter of time till we get lotsa love from the devs. Keep on keepin' on DC's. -Juba (Hagen Frostmere - Florendyl) |

I'll drink to that.
Our guilds highest level tank so far is a warrior and he just rerolled to another class. When I asked him why, he said it's because the warriors don't hold a candle to the pally's and dreadknights. It's only one persons opinion, but I thought it interesting. |

I honestly was going to quit my DRK starting off. Then I got really pissed when I found out that our lvl 8 lifetap (Harrow) was posistional behind. I looked and saw that at lvl 10 we got Shadow Step. So I made myself stick it out until at least lvl 10. If I didn't like him still, I would roll another toon.
Well I love my DRK now. I rolled a rogue just for fun, and I honestly like him A LOT, but I can't leave my DRK. I was a warrior in EQ1 and liked him...I just like tank classes in general. I rolled a WAR to see what he was like...got him to level 2 and wanted to play my DRK again. So yeah, I love DRK. |

Tho this is a nice way to think, I have played all too many MMOs with classes that were mediacore at best and they never saw a lick of help from the dev team in that game. So I will just say we need to speak and speak loudly if we want to see change at all. What is really sad is they had the class right and they changed it when live hit. There was no reason to worry about DPS, shoot a shammy can out DPS us on most cases. Sad if you ask me. |

Eh, trust me I know what its like to have a class to get no love. I'll bring back the THANE class from DAoC. I'm pretty sure that class didn't get any love, till about a year ago, less. Now they are the most pimpastic class ever IMO. HAHA. Everything comes in time. And if it never happens, then we'll actually understand something about Sigil. Just give it time. But I do agree, let us be heard. It is the best way to make change.
