Labrat,
you want developers to read your stuff? send them mail with return receipt to Brad McQaid to Sigil's official building office, K? posting your opinionated pile of words here won't make you heard any louder than you are heard now (from Sigil's perspective), and that is promptly at ZERO. Why? because I for one stopped reading your posts, they are not informative or positive. And I have no doubt majority of posters here are at about the same point in their judgement. If I want to see more of your style of communication, I can just turn the TV on and listen to US vs UN on IRAQ issues. You are not a crusader for DRK class. Majority of us are loving the class, and are willing to patiently wait for developers to take care of major issues with the game, before they start tackling issues with the classes. Go play a warrior if you are so concerned about your own uberness. I am loving DRK, even in this gimped down form. I am loving the world they made for us, I think it is beautiful. And I am willing to wait for developers to work on major issues like mob disappearing and client randomly crashing that affect all players, before they get to work on issues that affect only one class. |

Sadly I knew right for the get go that the devs or anyone at sigil would ever read these forums. They made that pretty clear when they didn't create an official forums. I don't have to sing a pretty and sweet pile of sugary goodness to proclaim I am in love with DrK. Played it for probably longer than I care to remember in beta and started one in live for a reason. I am not patient when it comes to developers and they are probably fully aware that there will be people with my thoughts when they continue to release games that are far from ready for prime time. The idea that you are willing to just sit around and wait for something from someone when you know its broken boggles the mind but wait ever. Making reference to what I post on these forums, to the war in Iraq, is a clear indication that you have not a clue what that actually means. My drivel as compared to the hardships our men and women face on a daily basis is almost absurd and certainly is a smack in their face to our losses. Go turn on the TV and water your mind down with nonsense they push on the screen and go on believe what I say is actually equal to the horrific things that are happening in the middle east. /back on topic DrK is more than gimp and requires all of us to not sit complacently in our seats awaiting a so called fix but to be as vocal as possible about what needs fixing and how we wish it to be fixed. I have stated that they need to revert the high refresh timers and this alone would revert the horrible direction they have taken DrK. Sure we can play through it or with it, but why settle for it until they get around to thinking about fixing it? Why? speak up and get their attention if and when they may even read the bugs list. |

Sure we have problems, but if they are important they will be fixed at some point. The game was rushed out of beta, and even though they've had however many years, there is always something more to do in a game of this scope. This really hit home when I left the Kojan continent and travelled to Thestra and Qalia, both worlds are absolutely massive. Quote:

I agree with others in that your posting is getting melodramatic and emo. I don't mean to start a flame war here but seriously, tone it down please. |

However I was under impression developers planned for us to see a combat stack of actions NPCs place to take, and we would be reaction to them, almost like "pre-shielding" ourselves or our teammates. I mean, 1 use of Defensive Maneuvers like "Bleak Foeman" that I imagined would be to notice a special attack NPC is going to take and use it just before that to block that attack... Need to see NPC's combat stack for that. So far the only real use I had for that ability is when I am running from a crowd to block incoming hits, or when healer was OOM and mob was almost dead, i spammed it to not die myself. |

The closest I have seen to that is the detection of weaknesses. I constantly get my combat window spammed with "You have detected a weakness [weakness] on [mob name]." or something to that extent...and on occasion if I hit Malice II right after it, I get a damage bonus saying "You have successfully exploited the weakness." or something along those lines...still trying to figure out exactly how this all works though...
