Avair is back. I talked to him this evening. He is currently working on the Rogue. When asked when the DK is slated for a Full Attention Re-evaluation..lets say no time soon it appears.

He did say that he would work in bugs and fixes as time allowed between current projects. So he is and will continue to work with us.

Currently I have submited the following to be worked on.


Armor of Darkness Recheck if the hate portion actualy works.

Shadow Meld - Does not modify evade dodge parry - same problem Armor of Darkness Had.

Despoil - Never Works - Needs to Work or Replace with a Different Debuff.

Cull - Needs to be brought back into the game.

Counter Attack Taunt should be brought into game as mentioned.

Enthraling Nexus - Speratic at best. Needs to work when you have a defensive target reguardless if you have the exact mob targeted.

Scourge - The Endo Cost needs to be brought back down. Warriors rescues costs 15 endo ours 30-40 this is for all rescues lower the endo.

INT-Hate relationship needs to be looked into and reported in patch for the community. As currently INT does raise Hate.

Incite Inflame Chain not better in reguards of hate vs Wrack Ruin. Incite Inflame needs Greater Hate than that from Wrack Ruin even if it is a reduction in dmg and increase in Hate.

Scythe of Doom - Needs to be increased on the return. Not a good aoe lifetap nominal at best and the dmg sucks. 75-50% return possibly. Right now a none used ability

WoD - needs some attention as discussed last time we spoke.

Mana costs need relook and adjusted properly as you gain levels as costs increase far more than mana pool grows as a tank.

This is what we have currently in the shoot to be looked at fixed etc. As we are not the priority class at the current time we are going to have to be a little patient as our fixes trickle in over the next patches here and there. My appologies i could not bring better news, as is the norm.

Well, thanks anyway Xacies. Glad they got us working in Beta, broke us 3-4 patches into live, and then say we're fine and not a priority.

I guess I will start doing long quests, and leveling alts and tradeskills now. I'm pretty much putting my DK on the back-burner as long as they do. Not like there are really any quests 35+.

Just a note, we do not have the dodge skill. Shadow Meld needs to replace dodge and split it between evasion, parry, and/or block.

sadly i think this is horrible news. back burner? for a class that is so obviously borked? are they joking me? do they actually believe their own marketing hype?

sad sad day for not only dk but the game in general. while they fix and refix other classes that have seen months of attention we get sporadic bugs fixed here and there, while having skills removed from game, and bacially broken to the point of no real return.

i am happy he talks with you at the very least but he and sigil need to start talking directly with us, enough of this dodging out crap.

I am having a lot of fun playing my DRK, there are some very minor issues, and some people just like to cry cry cry....

tyvm for update, bad news are news after all.

Some questions:

did you get a sense of timeframe from this conversation? Are we talking DRK starvation for a month? 3 month? half a year? a year? Till Gates of Discord come out?

Given that a question whether DC works as it should debuffing the mob was not in your current conversation, is it safe to assume it works? % are not very easy to check ( without taking days and days out of playtime and doing same thing over and over. Devs could just flatly say yes, or no. And I would stop or start worrying about whether mob is at 2 DC or 4 DC. Difference between those 2 is rather extreme on paper. So far my main stimule to raise DC is for Provoke to provide greater return per cast. But if that doesn't work.... than DC isn't something I would be overly concerned for.

P.S. I swear, I feel like DRK need to set up a mutual fund, finance purchase of % of Sigil stock, get Xaices on board of directors and go from there...

The only real issue I think that needs to be looked at right now is the Hate generation of the DK . Currently it stinks and I think I can say with 100% certainty that AoD does NOT generate 30% hate per attack. I have tested this numerous times in many different ways, it simply does not work. If they would just fix the hate portion of the DK I think people would be a bit more patient as to when they fix the other issues.

SoD is a good tool to get agro on multiple mobs so they do not split when you pull them to your group. If it generated 30% hate like it should in the AoD stance it would buy you time to get torture off on all the mobs and continue to hold agro on them . Then you can mix in SoD between taunts and attacks to hold that agro while your group progresses through the mobs. Would be nice if this all worked, but like I said AoD 30% hate is crapo atm. Luckily I group with a psi alot and while that poses other issues it does help with multiple mobs since the DK does not have a true AE taunt to round up multiples.
