Maybe it is not supposed to trigger the global cooldown, but they stated many times they do not want a hotkey to execute two casts in one button.
* Shadow Step does not count because it requires a second cast to be used.

Macro weirdness
It appears my second post got deleted?
![]() Anyway I have figured my macro issue out and it appears to be related to invisible characters. When I set my macros up for the first time I cut and pasted them from this forum into the macro button. They appeared to be fine with no extra spaces, no misspellings etc but as described above they didn't work or they were flaky. I was told that a cut and paste into a button will bring with it "invisible" characters that you cant see but your client will try to parse. To fix this I deleted all the buttons I had been working with and created entirely new ones. Instead of a copy/paste I typed the macros in by hand and now it all works. |

Not sure if this is were I should ask this.
Trying to set up an opening attack combo. Want to cast Torture and wrack but it seem that the attack is the only thing foing off. I'm using /cast "shadow step" /cast "Malice II" /cast "torture" Is it possable to make a macro that cast torture and Devoure strength? 1 thing for people having problem getting these to work. I finally found out that say you have Harrow II you have to use II not the number 2. Also spacing has been problem with macro's I was trying to use. hope it helps |

Trying to set up macros, but I am getting messages indicating that
/reactionautocounter /reactionautochain are not valid commands. Has something changed since this thread was last updated? Also, having a hard time setting up spell casts, getting spammed with "you don't have that ability". Also finding that /wear commands aren't working without /remove commands first, as in /remove "greatsword" primaryhand /wear "onehander" primaryhand /wear "shield" secondaryhand Any additional pointers? |

another very good and important macro is:
/g Mesmerizing %to /cast "Shadow Step" /cast "Phantasmal Step XY" macroing the teleport and lifedrain definitly works for me. take care that you put shadow step in the frist sentence: /cast "Shadow Step" /cast "Harrow XY" What is not working for me, or at least not always as far as i could see it so far is the reactionauto macro in my main attack macro. often, its not using the finisher of the finisher, even if it is available. i think there could be a conflict with slay and its cooldown above it: /cast "Slay XY" /cast "Dark Ward XY" /reactionauto /reactionautocounter /cast "Malice XY" /cast "Vexing Strike XY" anybody know why there are often problems with this macro not using finishers and finisher of finishers even when available? |

This may be a similar problem, but this refers to crit-chains.
Ideally, I want one hotkey for each chain (SoF->DB, Wrack->Ruin, Incite-Inflame, and lolVileStrike). Right now, hitting G will do my wrack-ruin, which is normally what I want, but I want more control over it. Doing a macro like: /cast "Wrack X" /cast "Ruin X" This doesn't allow me to use Ruin in the same button, I never can get it off. It's pretty important, since most of the time the freakin' buttons are borked anyway.

I have the same prob Nite. I didn't want to waste a toolbar slot on a button I was always and only ever going to use after another button.
I put together a button just like the one you mention, and it never casts Ruin for me. However, if you hit it.. wait a second or 2 and hit it again you are usually good. You get random spam about an ability not being ready but since the next button doesn't store anyway, I get those all the time so they don't really bother me.

if i understand your problem, i have a solution for you:
simply drag and drop the wrack item not from your spellbook, but directly from the reaction field into the hotbar. then you can use one hotbar button for wrack and ruin. if you dont understand my bad explanation, please say and i try to illustrate it with a screenshot ![]() |

Even if you remove Slay (and your Dark Ward should be below the /reactions) it will still miss some of the counters.
Sometimes even if you manually click the reactions they will not fire. It seems to be some sort of timing bug.
