the number crunching of which stat is the least of our worries at this point, they major kill to our DPS and thereby hate generation is a major worry and should have all our focus in reverting these poor decsions in game.
we are tankers that hold agro by pure damage which builds hate and now we have had our biggest means to generate hate remove and/or significantly strapped by a refresh timer. |

Earlier today when I was lvl 8, I was grouping with a lvl 10 Sorc, and a lvl 11 Bloodmage.
I held aggro just fine from them, and they weren't holding back. The Sorc would take aggro whens he crit, and then I would take it back fairly easily. Complain if you want, announce that we can't tank if you want...but the only thing I can say is: I don't see it. Maybe you need to talk to your groupmates and explain to them you're having a tanking issue. And then they can watch their abilities, when they crit, they can use an aggro-lessening ability, or a kiting ability to slow the mob, and get out of aggro. Come on man, use all the things around you to make yourself better. We were killing lvl 10 3-dots. -Cev

Iam an old school SK from EQ-1 and EQ-2....Bertoxx SK...first SK in guild called Phantom Raiders....6th SK on server to get epic....
I was thinking of going LGiant.....More for roleplaying... On some other boards they have shown stat allocations on high end plate armour and they are (as one would expect) all Str-Con-Dex..... So I will be allocating Max Dex + 4....(makes your hp thus cont more valuable via not getting hit in the first place....evade etc...crits for more hate...) Max Int +4......it would bore me being more melee based DK...and DK's uniqueness is in there spells.....crits a bonus... Vit +2....I cannot count the number of times where a battle whether solo-group-raid where 1 more lifetap would have changed the outcome....where you kill hte mob with it...or give your healer enough time for 1 more heal cast....so mana regen and also hp regen would be important.....I guess its still much of a unkown of how much regen per 10 vit pts.... If anyone knows this equation would be great to inform the DK community.....that is...for every 10 vit points how much increase in regen??? Also go to this link for easy projecting out how your plan stat allocation will map out....Great tool! http://vanguard.tentonhammer.com/ind...lay&ceid= 536 Look forward to seeing you guys in game..... Forz DemonzBlade...   "Evil comes this way!"... |

Unless they fix our energy, you can max INT all you want. You will be OOM before 4 spells happen. Also, how many of our damage abilities are actually spell based other than our Word line and our DoTs?
INT will benefit you for the purposes of resists more than it will in damage, I think.

Word Line
DoT line Lifetap line Bane And a couple other 40+ abilities that tooltip at 2k + dmg. I haven't had a problem with energy yet...but I'm only 10, so I'm assuming you guys mean higher levels than that. -Cev

So, some things I learned about stats now that we're live and in the pre-order.
#1 (the less important one): Bonus stats on leveling are not lumped. You get 2 when you hit the level, and then 2 more at each 20% of the next level you earn. That's for a non-human. Since humans get more stats, and I haven't played one, I'm not sure how they work. #2 (the rather important one): YOUR RACIAL BONUS COMPUTES INTO YOUR PER LEVEL STAT DISTRIBUTION. Lemme say that again: The 4/level attribute allocation that non-humans get is regulated not just by your bonus points, but your racial points. I leveled my Vulmane DRK up to 10, and after going nuts with petitions and bug reports on why the hell I had only gotten 2 points to distribute instead of 10, I wrote down where I put the points. Thing is, after I put 3 points into DEX, it would not let me put any more in. I ended up going 2 Str, 3 Dex, 4 Int, 1 Con...which is probably how I'll do all of the levels, maybe throwing Vitality a point from Con every other or every third level. So, all of those attribute calculations in the first post are wrong. |

Hmm...
As an Orc, I get a bonus of +2 to my strength, and +2 to my Constit. When I dinged 10, I waited until I was almost 11 to toss in my points (I kinda forgot). I put 4 into Str, and 4 into Dex, and the rest into Int. I guess what I'm saying is...at lvl 12, I don't see what it is you're getting at. For lvl 11, I tossed 4 into Strength, 4 into Dexterity and 2 into Intel. So far through lvl 12, I have put 2 into Str, and 2 into Dex. *shrug* -Cev
