DEX/INT/STR/WIS.. in that order I would think. Xacies commented on the first three in another post somewhere. I will try to track it down.
DEX is important for mitigation purposes. INT is for magic damage. STR is for melee damage. WIS gives you more mana and does some of the same things as INT.

I have been wanting to get a fix on the attributes before live. I have been pumping CON and DEX and then spreading it over INT and STR after those two are maxed. I never though about the low returns on CON.
I will have to re-think my logic on it. I know I will definitely max DEX every level, that much is certain. I am concerned about STR, INT, and VIT... wondering which ones I should give preference to.

I have actualy tested min max stats. What I did was min al my stats then I maxed Dex and Maxed Int. I will show you what I came up with.
Starting CON 354 Starting HITs 5555 Points Minimized and Realocated Max Dex. Max Int, Split CON and STR. Ending CON 230 Ending Hits 5183 Difference in Con 124. Difference in HIT's 372. So at level 40 Not maxing CON in effect loose about one attacks worth of HIt Points. How ever I came to find out I got 3 dmg per 1 point of INT, roughly. Cull was hiting around 300 before INT SPEC and after INT SPEC was hiting 600. I doubled the life drain on Cull. Now word of doom did not double how ever it added a lot more. Also seemed to get resisted less, it may or may not be directly corilated with INT, but that was my observation.

So if we were talking much more tanking/melee damage what would the optimum combo be with magic damage as a secondary. Compared to Magic damage being first, and melee damage being secondary?

I do not think that as a DK you should ignore that casting spells are a necessary ability of your class. But if you wanted to go full melee:
DEX, STR, split INT and CON Have you messed around with Wisdom any Xacies? It seems it ups combat perception and mana pool.

After the analysis, and with my own opinions, I would probably roll with:
Max DEX first every level, then Max Str. Whatever I have left will go into INT until I can't - and the leftovers will go into CON. Yes, one of the reigning giants of tank attributes...will become leftovers for me, lol Xaices, you had me so confused in the post on bets forums...now I realize by HITS, you mean Hit Points, and I had never seen it written that way, lol Glad I figured it out, because now it makes sense. Honestly, the 350HP is absolutely negligible. The 15 in resists however...can be important. I can understand why a Tank, knowing this information would still max CON - and I would not think they were wrong to do so. I would see that tank being Warrior though. With no spells or heals to worry about - I think Warrior is the prime candidate for the most resistance among tanks. (However, as with HP...esistance can simply be "made up for" with gear) I think I have my launch template plan, thanks for the input - from everyone. -Eclipse

Hey Xacies,
I had some concerns. Maybe you could address them. I don't want them to seem like a class-to-class battle though. Please do not take them as such. I think Devs need to look at for DKs: 1) Before level 40 our defensive stance is not equal to other tanks. I personally would suggest letting us have the 15% in our defensive, and maybe as DC rises either increase our aggro modifier by X% per DC level or make it a group buff of adding X% per level of DC to everyone's mitigation (which doesn't come up unless you are in a group). 2) DKs at lower levels (definitely between 10-20) need to be looked at in the realm of hate generation. Our main taunt (Provoke) is on too slow a timer and produces too little hate to be effective with the damage output of other classes. 3) Damage output of 2H weapons is too low now. They broke them basically. 4) Too many of our skills are based off of DC which until level 40, they are impossible to maximize. Having to wait for level 40 to get the most out of your class should not be acceptable. From what I have seen, no other class is restricted like we are. I realize we are on the backburner for now, but since I think you talk to the Devs do you have any information on if they know about these issues. Are they open to suggestions? I would post some of this on the VGB board if so.
