Yeah, it's pretty crap.
Not only it's used outside combat and from behind -it lasts for 1 hit!
So, if I want it as an opener, it's useless coz the next hit will brake it.
If I don't use it as an opener, what use is it? To make fun of ppl trading NPCs?
It'll do more bad than good.

Also, what's the use of Incite when we have Wrack? Did anyone measured the diference? Seems a waste of a skillslot.

There's also something that has me confused...
I got a skill where I basically deal 50% mellee dmg to ALL oponents in front of me and returns 25% of total dmg to me as heal.
I don't remember the name or the exact numbers to be honest, cause I've been reading skill-list for the past half hour and messed me.
As soon as my update finishes, I'll be able to name it properly.
Anyway -I don't see it listed on the official skill-set.
It's an under-lvl19 skill and I have it prior Patch1.
Anyone knows what I speak of and why it isn't listed?

And to close it, is this correct?

I can get that "chance to block" raise by a mere +8 DEX by an item :?

Kalin,

wrong all around. DRK received decent buffs recently, and situation is a bit different.

Phantasmal Blade has fantastic uses breaking up a pull or when puller gets 2-3 and you want to paralyze one of mobs. You need to make sure your group doesnt assist you immediately though and waits until your call.

You can use wrack-ruin combo, but basically, for some reason, once you go through incite-inflame, you got aggro lock so good, that you can skip using anything but the melee atk for rest of the fight. I tested it and pulled off incite-inflame first 2-3 rounds, and after that removed my hands from keyboard. Ranger 2 levels below me couldn't pull the aggro, and i told her to go nuts on the mob. So in grouping situations incite-inflame > wrack-ruin for aggro.

Shield of Fear is not so useful at level 1 of ability, but at level 2 it raises ur blocking by 15%, that is significant. Also, it is a bridge to our most powerful defensive finisher - +100/125/150 AC per level of DC on the mob.

Ksill you are mentioning is called Scythe of Death, and it has been fixed to life leech 100% hp back by Avair just a few days ago, and most of the community seems to feel that it is in a balanced state.

+8dext wont grant you any block whatsoever, it is strength that grants blocking now. But even disregarding that, +8str will not grant you even .1% blocking.

All in all, once you reach DC5, and pull off a defensive chain on the mob, you gain +15% blocking and +900 AC. that is a LOT of mitigation.
