But if you look at it another way, the DK has the innate ability to strike fear in opponents. The Pally has the innate ability to ignore fear. This puts them both on an equal plane, not one above the other. After thinking about this for a minute or so, I think it's a cool idea to have them cancel each other out.
And I wouldn't worry about the fear aura being the DK's ONLY advantage, lol...it's just the one thing they decided to tell us about. I'm sure as well, that the Paladin has a lot more tricks up his sleeve than group buffs and Paragon. So I wouldn't worry about it.

I do not believe this will apply to our Dreadful Countenance ability. I think this will only affect spells like Frighten and the like. I could be wrong, but I don't think our aura is a fear effect. It is simply an aura that causes increasing amounts of debuffage over the course of the fight. If there is a portion of Dread that becomes a panic or flee type effect then that one part of it may be resisted, but I bet the rest is just fine.
