VF - A guide

I can't seem to find any guides on playing a dread knight, I was looking for some kind of guide that maybe gave clues on where to place attributes, which quests to do (I.E. great experience or good armor rewards etc.) that sort of thing, does anyone know where I can find something like this, I've tried the search feature on this forum and a few others and even googled it but am having no luck.

There's really no good 'guides' yet, but poke around here and you'll find some good topics to help you out. Here's some quick pointers:

Attributes:
STR=melee dmg and block
DEX=melee crit and parry

Both awesome stats to put 4 points into every level. The CON return isn't very good, but I'm putting 2 points into it every level anyway. You can also go with WIS, since our mana pool isn't very robust, or INT to increase a few of your spells damage, but most of our dps is from our chains and melee skills. Haven't heard much from VIT returns, but very few people do this. Personally, I put 4 str, 4 dex, 2 con every level (I'm a DE and get bonus pts in dex/int/wis so that kind of evens me out as well).

-When soloing, make sure to make a shadow step/harrow macro for lifetaps.
-once you get your ruin/wrack chain, this will be a huge source of damage
-scythe of doom and WoD both suck

not sure of anything else atm, will add to it later if I can think of anything =p

Sod Has it's use. It's not the grate healing spell it was suppose to be but its noce to have when fighting 2 mobs at 1 time. WoD dose stink not even worth casting half the time.

If you're talking about poor return for points, then you should not be preaching about dex. Sure it's a good stat, but it's scaling is pretty poor.

Again, just the spec I went with. 90% of DRK builds are STR/DEX, and they're the ones that are used the most with tanking, as you normally don't run out of mana, and INT affects a low amount of our skills (and normally have some kind of INT/WIS buff in most groups to give you enough to see who the mobs hitting, if you need that).

Depending on your race I would do STR/DEX/CON/INT or STR/DEX/INT/WIS. Personally, I'm human and just do 5 STR/5 DEX/4 INT every level.

I have some mana problems solo and in some groups, but in well set group and definitely raids it won't matter. Bird shaman + Blood Mage + Psion will keep you full mana easily.

Armor Quests on Qalia:
1. Basic armor from starting city 5+
2. Skawlra Rock quests 15?+
3. Infineum Quests 22+
4. River Valley Quests 25+
5. Zossyr Hakrel 30+

Weapon Quests on Qalia:
1. Infineum Quests 22+ (Rare, Legendary)
2. Zossyr Hakrel 30+ (Uncommon)

Personally, I skipped Tsang's it was too much of a time sink.

I would do all the quests you can, as that + killing mobs is always going to be the fastest XP.

Again, I'm not saying Str/Dex is bad, it just makes no sense that you are forsaking Con because of its low return per point and not Dex.

I am one of the odd birds it seems.

I am Going Str/INT/ Vit every level.

Dex returns went to the suck recently.

Str gives bonus damage consistently. INT gives measurable returns on spell damage. Side bonus is the added perception of what is attacking whom..

And VIT gives a boost to in combat health AND energy returns that are measurable and make a huge difference to our poor little mana pool (more so imho than merely increasing it a paltry couple of points.
