How evil can the Dread Knight's quests be?
Regardless of how much freedom is given in this game, we the players of course will always be playing the hero, even if it is not done in the most heroic of forms. And though the Dread Knight himself may not be hard core "I eat babies and kick puppies" evil, based on his class description, he must at least be somewhat so. So what do you think our quests will be like? Will we have the generic "Wield this cursed sword and kill things with it" quest, or will we have more evil quests, like having to help x demon do y to z village. I myself am not hoping for something too evil, especially if said actions would have a negative effect on diplomacy, which I am very excited about and can't wait to try, but in the realism of the class, I think we should have something a little more tainted than what is usually given to similar classes in other games. Just curious on your oppinions though, so feel free to post your thoughts.

Well from description what imo u can hope for the DK is preatty simple.
They as easily kill a peasant as a opressing Lord from a certain land if thats the task they set to do. Itīs a simple fact of the "Donīt bother me, dont cross my way, get out of my sight and u will live to see the sun another day" kind of thing. He doesnt take pleasure in being evil "most" of the times but its a path he is willing to take if it suits his needs. The world aint black or white. Its grey. And while in the grey u canīt escape the grasp of the DreadKnight. |

As i understood it. DKs arnt evil, they arnt good. They just have a malicious look about them. They do what it takes to get the job done. If they have to get dirty then so be it. Here is an example. The Punisher. Was he evil? Or was he just trying to avenge his family. IF so, did he have to be so cruel about it, killing EVERYBODY? He just did what he had to do, to get the job done. Thats how i look at it.
Much love Raven

A hero isn't judged by the abilities that he uses, but by what he accomplishes using them.

I am wondering how much of an effect being a DK would have on diplomacy. If they are supposed to appear menacing, then that should have some negatives to it. On the other hand, I don't think DK's care all that much for diplomacy anyway.
"You don't want to sell me that sword for 2 gold coins? I should break you in two." "PLEASE, leave me alone." "Bah. Your not worth my time anyway. I shall just have to go find a blacksmith with more of a backbone." Sure it wouldn't play out that way, but it is something to think about. |

"If you don't want to sell me that sword for 2 gold... I'll tell your wife about you and the barmaid."
"You wouldn't!!!" "Of course not." or "Sell me the sword for 2 gold." "Um. No." "Stupid salesman says what?" "Huh?" "No, you're supposed to say What?" "What?" "Haha, gotcha!"

Sounds interesting. Will there be evil/good faction points?
