Hmm, there could be certain abilities or weapons that you can only have if you're a certain amount of good/evil. Hehe, the possibilities are endless! Well, not as endless anymore, seeing as the game should be finishing the coming few months. Still, I have faith in the Vanguard team - the game will be great even if it doesn't include everything.

From what i have hear/read the DK isnt something inheritantly evil, BUT they sure can go that route. I'm pretty sure thye will have special DK only quests that will take more of a wicked turn, but as you said i dont see there being any "baby eating" quests. (thay may require a cooking skill tree, lol)

As with almost every other mmo I've played, most quests will probably not be geared toward whether your good or evil or not, or in fact, you will be given quests with the assumption you want to do the right thing, such as kill 10 bears so Jim can make that claok to keep his children warm this winter.
The bottom line is how the player will play it. You can be as evil as you want or as good as you want or you can try to walk the grey line. But this thread seems to be under the assumption people will "roleplay it." I hope so. I will be a dread knight and I will be as evil as I possibly can. But I will also be a human and I'm in a heavy roleplaying guild so what that means is that I will make mistakes, laugh and have drinks, and possibly sometimes act as any other person might. But being that my main sphere will be adventuring coupled with harvesting, that also means when its time to leave the tavern and strap on the sword I become deadly serious and will show no mercy. I will use fear and dispair to defeat my enemies. At least that's what I'm going for! lol :wink:

I think your race has more to do if your " good or evil" the Dread knights themselves more of use the tools of evil to suit there needs.

Just because you use the tools of evil, doen't make the person using them evil... but then isn't there a saying evil begot by good is still evil and good begot by evil is still good? Another way of saying that would be "The end doesn't always justify the means.... If i got a quest to kill 50 people to say thousands in my village... guess what 50 people are going to die... but those 50 people will look at me as evil and so will outsiders not knowing the situation for wich those people were killed.... Yet my village will look on me as a hero... Does that makes me evil or good?

the way i see it!
the Game made it simple for me.
Want to be good, be a pally and attck with the flowers of love. Want to be the neutral get it done with the what ever it takes, be the Warrior. Want to be the evil dark pressence to take over the world be a DK. the game made it simple, but do not count yourself short and be the "well i want to be the lesser evil DK." BE PROUD AND BE A EVIL

should be something like you're the "misunderstood" hero the one who always exploits people uses intimidation and knows there is no real change from good and evil and that aslong as you can get it done no matter what you did a good job despite people thinking you're evil 8)
besides who doesnt wanna manipulate and scare millions of people just to save them :P |
