FINALLY!!!! Got my website up and running. It is flash intensive but did some test loads on it and it actually does pretty smooth. Mind you the site is still VERY MUCH under construction so be patient. I have not added the paypal yet nor have I added an order form. If you are interested in commissioned work feel free to contact me here via PM's and I can get busy. I will send you a price sheet and all that jaz. did some changes on the site but it is taking much longer to load than I want. Bear with me for now as it is a bit graphic intensive with flash animation. I will be making a few changes to the site in the upcoming weeks to speed up the load time. Thank you all for taking a peek at it. My skill lies in working with art.....not websites lol. Still teaching myself HTML and all the ftp and such.

Its odd as I started looking around I got the the artwork. When you look at a picture full size the back button greys out and you cant get back to the main artwork page. If you close the page the whole site is gone. Looks good though.

Yeah the first thing I noticed is there wasnt a flash navigation functionality so I had to keep going back to the category's on the left and then wait for the header to slide in before I could check out the desktop section for example after being in the sig section of artwork. You might also want to have the category words part of the links as well instead of just the gems at the left. Took me a second to figure out where to click to move around. I'll give it another look later on but I need to get through the rest of these posts. First time I've had over a page of new posts here. Very cool.

when you open the artwork full screen, simply click it and it will automatically go back hehe still working out some design bugs though, and will be incorporating ALOT more HTML instead of flash on the site in the future, mainly for loading times.

not sure what kind of flash naviation fuction you mean other than the links on the left...i tried making them a part of each page..i have changed the buttons but hav e not uploaded it as of yet...

I think the most important part of good web design to always keep in mind is: the less you have to explain, the better. Be as redundant as possible, when it comes to links, info, everything.

Gratz Soul. Getting your first functioning website up is always fun. Watching it morph and evolve is a great experience also.

A little advise I had to learn the hardway. Listen to the critical feedback on things that you can do to improve your site. It will save you in the long run =)

Sorry been away for a bit, trying to get some studying done for the police officer exam and such around here, and the holidays were busy busy busy
ill be working on the website ALOT next week, depending on how things go...im going to have to do a rather quick move here shortly to a new home so thats gonna slow things down a little to lol

Siencyn: I WANT the critical advice big time. This is my first time ever doing a website. First rule...dont do the entire thing in flash LOL way to much bandwith and takes forever to load. Just have not have any free time this week to play with converting it to html Ill get there though, and having a blast playing with it.
