Evil Parents
I just hired a girl named, I kid you not, "Tarzana".
I've also interviewed or hired a "Trashena", a "Geranium", a "Sweetcherry", "Hunk (not Hank)", "Turtle", "Doodoo (to be fair, he was born in Africa and it doesn't mean the same thing there)", and my personal favorite, Mr. Larry. You see, his first and middle names were also Larry. And he was the III. Larry L. Larry III. That's just wrong. Why do people do that to their children?

... now where's my cookie? I have been trying to think of names if I ever have a boy as my husbands family has a tradition where first born son is named with the initials A.H. So since you are all so up to speed on what is crazy talk when it comes to naming, what do you think of the name "Ashford Highland"? I know its not usual, but Im unusual and I want a name that is unique without being down right stupid. For instance, my daughter is "Trinity Rhea'lin", unique but still a beautiful name. I also thought of a more normal name, "Alexander Hayden" and just call him Xander, but hubby thinks that is too much Buffy in our lives hehe.

Re: Evil Parents
I've come across some odd names working for a banner company in Chicago. Few of the schools nearby do graduation banners, and they list every single name, and I usually wind up typing the whole thing
![]() in case anyone is thinking dirtymeat80 is from some nasty STD or something, it's actually a long standing nickname, and stands for my name - Dusty Veal.......get it? Dusty = Dirty, Veal = Meat. I tacked on the 80 for my birth year. And yes, my real name is Dustin, but it's a little too serious sounding, so I stick with Dusty. Tell ya one thing, I never have a problem registering that name on a forum lol |

Re: Evil Parents
Well, my real name is Kazia. It's pronounced Kay-zyah. Or similiarly K-Asia. (Yes Asia like the continent)
Not because of evil parents, but unique ones to say the least. The only evil thing was having to spell that name and my maiden name (it's Italian and rather long) at a young age and constantly having to pronounce it for people. Seems that people see a long name and just promise themselves they will butcher it from the getgo and not even try to sound it out phonetically. I got good at it, fast. Even got to a point when my classmates in school would do it for me, for new teachers or substitutes. However many a time I would get fed up with it, if I was having a bad day, and just tell people to call me by my middle name (Jo). Infinitely easier.

Re: Evil Parents
True LOL Everytime I think of weird names I think of Robin Hood: Men in Tights. The witch named Latrine. Heheh and her parents changed her name TO Latrine. When asked about it she says, "Yeah, it used to be S***house" hehe
