It's very arcane.

To get more HP, post more often per day. To get more mp, uh, well, I'm not sure. Something about making good posts.

Kethra has lots of HP, but she does very little damage, so it's okay.

I don't have many HP, but I have backstab, so it all evens out.

Well, right now I have a potential for 68 HPs, but I am drained.

Aye, HP is posting number so posting will heal you. MP is consistency, so a high post/day or something like that. See this thread for details.
