Following my successful writing workshop on How To Find News When There Isn't Any last month, this next one on Friday is entitled How to Write Sizzling Openers. If we have time we will also look at How to Conduct Successful Interviews. If not, we will address that one in our next workshop. Facts are below:

WHO: All affiliate Vanguard fansite staff
WHAT: HOW TO WRITE SIZZLING OPENERS
WHEN: Friday, Dec. 9th - 8-10pm EST
WHERE: Raya's Writing Room (Note: you have to register but it's free)
WHY: To offer training in various aspects of fansite writing. This month's topic is to help staff write openers that will encourage their readers to go for that all important first click.
COST: No charge.

Note: To clarify, sometimes the lead-in is different than the opener. More often than not, in our busy schedules, we combine the two and use part of the opener as the lead-in.

Workshop Facilitator: Raya, a former journalist and professional writer - with over 30 years in the writing industry. I am holding these classes to encourage writers to unfold their talent and enjoy their potential. There are so many good writers who are locked in an early teacher's image of "not doing it right."

To those unfamiliar with these workshops, this is a continuation of a series of workshops I held for writers at Vanguard Silky Venom and for editors and writers at the Warcry network.
