Gah! Work!
So I get in to work this moring at 8am. Check my email and resolve a few issues that were left for me from the night shift. That takes me to 9am.
I check VS, make a cup of tea and set about to investigating a windows server. 8 hours later I've done nothing but work on said windows server manually pulling out 12 trojans that AVG plain didn't report. As a result of said trojans configuring windows legitimate services depend on them to work I'm now duplicating the disk and looking at a reinstall of windows 2003. My guess is I'll be working on the server until my shift ends at 8pm tonight and starting again at 8am tommorow. Moral of the story: Don't use AVG, dont install RealVNC on your server. Or, don't voluntarilly look into interesting windows issues  Today has been sooooo draining and its not even over yet  |

definitely not how I would have wanted to start the week. I got off a bit easier, and only had to install a new cd-rom on my pc here at work. Good luck to ya! |

You know, I wish I could sympathize with you all about Mondays, but I've had 4 days off in the past 5 months. Everyday feels like wednesday to me.
If I had days off I wouldn't have anything to do though, so meh. That sucks though, viruses=bad news. Especially on servers |

I hate it when servers do that. I had a fun filled day today. I worked a whole 15 mins putting in a new DVD drive and shiping the broken one back. I don't want a server to crash but man this day is dragging.

Well its official, I'm going to work early to spend a further 4 hours (already spent 12 straight on it) tommorow so the customer can continue his business.
Since its the order processing server for the company that supplies my work with the ram for our servers its gotten the status of "nothing else gets blinked at until this is fixed" from the boss... |
