Movies

Seen any movies lately that you thought were fantastic, or crap? Any movies got excited?
Personaly I just watch Children Of Men with Clive Owen on dvd at the weekend and thought it was fantastic, very good movie well worth watching and also bought A Scanner Darkly another very good movie.
Can't wait for 300 to come out, I may just watch the trailer over and over, its gotten so bad I have it on my phone now! Also not sure if I should go see Rocky, Pan's Labyrinth or Babel on wednesday any recommendations?

Re: Movies

Looking forward to 300 here too. I'm a rather big Gerard Butler fan so...

As for other movies, I can't really say!! My TV is tuned to Noggin (kid's channel) pretty much all day, so I don't see most of the new movie previews. Of what you mentioned, I've seen the previews for Rocky and Pan's Labyrinth... and vote on the latter, just because I stay away from Rocky Balboa at all costs! Just personal opinion of the series, I haven't actually seen the newest one yet.

I'm a movie buff who has gone through a withdrawal (also known as motherhood). Will definitely be getting a sitter for 300 though, no doubt about that.

You should read Gates Of Fire by Stephen Pressfield, its a fantastic book about the battle of Thermopylae and his book Virtues of War: A Novel of Alexander the Great on Alexander both great reads, Gates of Fire is better tho.
I know this is off the subject of movies but it all connects, kinda, sort of.....

Re: Movies

well i dont mind going off topic for a good book! if you want a good book you should check out Anything by steven brust... the Pheonix guards and hundred years after is the best read i have ever had! Vanguard reminds me alot of his books, accept they only have Humans and elves (elves call themself humans and humans are called easterners but easterners call elves, elves or dragareans) its kinda confusing... hehe i love it... and yes ill check out the book ^^

k you all can get back on topic now if you like ^^
