Re: My Tickle Me Elmo story
It's funny that you say people where camping outside gamestops, cause they only had enough for pre-orders. So anyone camping outside whould be wasting their time completely, lol. And the reason that the stores didn't get as many as they originally planned on having is because sony gave them a number and then changed it at the last minute.

Re: Ps3 Launch Count Down
I walked into Super Walmart last night at 11:30 expecting to wait in a small line and buy a Wii. LoL, naive.
![]() I wound up camping overnight at a Circuit City. It was sorta fun, but once I brought it home all I wanted to do was sleep. And now I'm not sure if I should try and sell it or not... :x

Re: Ps3 Launch Count Down
Yeah, $500-$600, and only until the next shipment comes in. Not worth it. I do think they won't sit on the shelves until next year though, so I'm glad I got in line instead of just going home. There were more Wiis than persons in line until about 7:30 AM when the number of people tripled.

Re: Ps3 Launch Count Down
I personally would have gotten one myself, but I could only afford one next-gen console
Made sense to get the more expensive one now that I'm still semi-dependant, and wait for the less expensive one for when I'm out on my own.

Re: Ps3 Launch Count Down
As with anything new there will always be hype and a ton of people buying the systems...360....wii. ps3....however regardless of the price and availability the winner will be the one that can razzle dazzle gamers with the quality of the games..like the ps2 did.

Re: Ps3 Launch Count Down
Wii Sports is surprisingly fun for what has been called a tech demo. I haven't had this much fun with 4 people in the room since Smash Bros. Melee. The waggle controls in Zelda enhance the game for the most part, but if you want to use the Wiimote to aim projectiles you have to put up with a (mostly useless) glowing blue fairy pointer when you aren't aiming. You can (and I did, mostly by accident) point off screen to get it out of your face but that causes you a delay when using a ranged weapon -- it takes a half-second or so to recognize you're pointing at the screen again, and probably longer for you to remember to point it at the screen.
![]() How's the PS3 workin' for ya? <_<

Re: Ps3 Launch Count Down
Great
Been playing a bunch of Resistance and RR7, the first of which is especially entertaining online. Really great multiplay modes and strategic weapons. People are really too quick to judge on it.Been also really enjoying Blast Factor, one of the downloadable games. It's really challenging (for me anyways), and it's arcade style to the extent that you start over each time. So I tend to play it every now and then to see if I can get further or get a better score. Of course I've also been working on my second XII playthrough, as well as gradually progressing in Okami... All the while working on a job pitch. So yes, plenty of stuff to keep me occupied ![]()
