Nope there was a game called Colinization as well, release was by Micropose. It was simalar to Civ (Sid Meir's (sp?) original follow up to Civ in fact) but it was just America (North, Central and South) and you could import/export from UK or the natives (assumeing you hadn't wiped them out by then), and build rebel sentiment and gain independance from Europe (depending on which country you were of course, I remember English, Spanish, French and Dutch)

Civ 1, or Duke Nukem 1 just for the memories, but there has been so many good good games out that we really are spoiled. Abandonia is a very good site for old abandonware games that the company that made them no longer enforces or owns the copyrights.

Master of magic.

That game had it all when it came out! I played both colonization and civilization but the added magic made master of magic beter.

Baldur's Gate 2
My favourite RPG on the PC, beautiful in soo many ways.

Deux Ex
Immersive, gripping and original.

Half-Life
I'm a big fan of the original Half-Life, I'll never forget the first time I played through "We've Got Hostiles", or "Surface Tension". A classic.

Dark Age of Camelot
Never actually played this game live but definately experienced some of my favourite moments in online gaming.

Broken Sword 1 & 2
Really loved these two games back in the day, a story that actually interests you and fun characters. The sense of accomplishment when you finally realise what those red panties are for.

Many, many more that I haven't got time to write about.

I actually play a free game, called Dark Wind, it's based of Triple Triad from Final Fantasy, and it's probably the most addicting card game ever.

That, and V:SoH, Spore, and Team Fortress 2 (when Episode 2 comes out), will probably be the four games I play.
