Vanguard on XBox360

What would really be great is if this game was running on my XBox360 cause my PC is already getting dated and I hate the thought of having to upgrade or buy new to get the most out of this game.

In fact I'm probably going to be buying the PS3 too so having Vanguard on that would be way cool.

Vanguard has been announced as a Windows game. We remain open to the idea of taking advantage of future architectures, but nothing is written in stone. Certainly, Vanguard would not run on the existing Xbox platform.

From what they have in the FAQ, it sounds like that might be a possibility in the future. Although, now that Sony is co-publishing, I wonder how they feel about VG being on their competitors platform. It will be interesting to see how this develops.

I hate the Xbox 360 anyway, any console for that matter.

Hehe read the production forum threads by Taranis on the OVFs. There are some really funny responses there about an Xbox 360 version.

Oh well doesn't really matter cause with all the new MMO's coming on the XBox360 and PS3 I'm sure I'll be satisfied enough to spend my time and money on them rather than a outdated PC.

99% of my money will be going on consoles and games for consoles rather than upgrades to rejuvenate a constantly outdated PC platform, and I will predict this to be the case with the majority of future gamers who grew up playing consoles.

If Vanguard requires my PC to get an upgrade to play properly I'll simply not be playing it.

How old is your PC? I bet you can get a good experience with Vanguard even if your hardware is less then top notch. That is unless you prefer all the bells and whistles turned up. Myself with every game like this so far I last about a week at those settings. Then they get reduced until the first week I own every new expansion. The cost of consoles and the games always ended up running my buddies much more then my PCs and the few games I play. We all know how much building a PC can save over the big name boxes

If you take the $600 bucks you'd spend on a PS3 and put it into even a low end system you could have a pretty powerful PC capable of so much more than a console is.

Aye, but if you had a low end system and a console, you'd still have a computer capable of all of the things a console can't do, and something that runs games well.

Assuming you're staying away from highly specialized applications like CAD, you don't need much to do non-gaming tasks on the computer.

So if you already have a low-end computer (like your post says), then $600 will not buy you nearly the gaming power that a console will - and this is especially true of certain upgrade paths. Got a socket A AGP motherboard? Get ready to change the motherboard, chip, ram, and video card. What is you have an older system that still runs on PC133? It'll still run office, IE, WinAmp, etc just fine, and you're looking at even more to get that computer up to code.
