The good old days!

Remember when …….

1. You just started EQ and you thought killing rats outside Freeport was the coolest thing in the world.
2. You would …. I mean you would see people asking for just a few silver
3. You would ugoogle over the level 30 druid standing next to the guards for at least 20 min. Then she might cast sow and a DMG shield on you and you have to clean yourself.
4. All your friends started getting some silly looking mug and next thing you know everyone has 7 of them and there giving them to necro pets! – MOOO- GOK!
5. /say Can I get a port to WC please
6. /whisper druid Can I get a port to WC please
7. /g ZONE!!!!!!
8. /g WHO keeps breaking MEZ!
9. Two words…………. ORC HIGHWAY
10. /yell GIANT TO DOCKS!
11. Your first death run to Lower Guk
12. Your first group in Lower Guk
13. Your first death run to the safe hallway in lower guk……MONKS FTW
14. LFG in FRENZY ROOM
15. Camping the FBSS …………..for 2 months straight
16. Seeing someone with a SoY or Yak ( diff server slang) and thinking they most know a gm …..
17. Seeing someone with a SoY or Yak and thinking they are best friends with a gm and the go and watch movies and giggle on their off time.
18. Seeing someone with a SoY or Yak and a FBSS and know that that person is laying so much pipe into gm central that he/she is about to put the north Alaskan pipe line company out of business.


Well that the warm up come on guys I did even say anything about SOL B or NAG

I think I can apply that to my first MMO experience too

3. You would ugoogle over the level 60 red mage standing next to the guards for at least 20 min. Then she might cast Refresh and Phalanx and you have to clean yourself.

7. /g ZONE!!!!!!
8. /g WHO keeps breaking SLEEP!
9. Two words…………. CRABS SUCK
10. /yell GOBLIN TO GATE!

12. Your first group in Valkurm Dunes
13. Your first run to the safe entryway in Qufim. Sneak/Invis FTW!
14. LFG in Jeuno endlessly
15. Camping the Ochiudo's Kote …………..for 2 months straight

Oh My... Heheh that hits really close to home. Mine is very similar.

1. You remember saying "WTS fine steel longsword at first torch" in eastern commonland tunnels
2. You remember hunting polar bear cubs in everfrost for HQ pelts and all of a sudden a Vengeful Lyricist, Vengeful Composer, or Vengeful Soloist attacks and you run towards the guard
3. You remember zoning into Mistmoor only to think Holy Sh.....Loading please wait because you zoned in right after Piros Train hit the zone line. (it was probally someone elses train.) I didn't go back to Mistmoor for a long time after that.
4. You remember Kithicor Forest And running along the zone edge praying you don't get aggro because you were to impatient. to wait for day time.
5. You remember falling into the well in befallen and needing the help of 2 groups of people to get your corpse. ( I can't Top this one at all. I hate Invisible pits)
6. You remember actually taking the boat between the two continents instead of just porting over. And then the zone mechanics were screwed up so the ship zones but you don't. And since you were grabbing food/drink or a bio/smoke break you sink to the bottom and die. Coming back to your pc you see that you are at your bind and have no clue where your body is. So you follow the ship to the zone line then dive down to find it. (I got Lyssa's Locating Lyric soon after that. And used it often)
7. You remember dying horribly to a Tentspike Terror after falling off the bridge to Thurgadin then zoning into Icewell Keep.
8. You remember Leaving your first AoE song up then trying to enter a city or talk to a NPC.
9. You remember getting your ass kicked by brownies in Lower Feydark
10. You remember the griffon in eastern commonlands destroying your entire group in about 6 seconds (hehe cant top this one either. I hunted so many mobs down over and over again after I got some levels under my belt. Up until the day I left EQ I would still stop in Blackburrow and kill everything there when I was in the area.)

I remember when I had TWO Fine Steel Daggers and some Banded Armor. Man, oh man, was I uber then!

Here are some.

1) Staring at my spellbook then seeing red and reading Loading Please Wait... or to find out my party moved camp and I was still sitting there.
2) Sitting down after a hard battle to get attacked by a green wolf and dying.
3) The first time I attacked a blue Griffenne. (the baby ones) And got my ass handed to me.
4) Sitting in LGuk on a list waiting my turn for a group.
5) Falling into the Tree at Black Barrow and never getting my stuff back.
6) The thrill of hitting level 30 and not having to look at the spellbook any more.
7) Watched a level 50 Pally friend of mine die in NRo. He went afk and sat at the end of the pier. Somebody pulled a madman there. Since he was sitting it casted a knockback spell on him. That knocked him into the water and he drowning.
8) The first train I stoped in CT's temple. Best zone ever.
9) Attacking a wil-o-wisp only to find out I could not hurt it with my non-magic staff.
10) Porting into WC for the first time to be quickly killed by Gix.

1.)when banded blackened armor was Uber , top that off with a Wurmslayer and you were a god.
2.) when a wurmslayer was a 2handed weapon.
3.) Crapping my pants seeing a soulfire for the first time.
4.) Catching a boat from BB to Fp and getting left between zones by the boat and having to refer to my players guide on how to contact a Gm because I was lost at sea.
5.) My first train in Blackburrow with the entire zone of gnolls coming after me after the naked barb on a CR dumped them on me and being a blind human and falling into the gorge in the center of bb to fall straight to the bottom where the gnoll train finally caught up with me in slayed me in the dark.

1)When you go to the trading zone, in FREEPORT
2)When on the same trip to the trading zone you find out why it is you decided to use the sewer path you found, when a guard cracks your dark elf self over the head
3)When you got your new level of spells and had to try them out to find out what most of them actually did
4)When you would be traveling and would see an enemy race NPC woundering around out in noplace and freaking out and trying to run as far away as possible praying he didn't see you
5)When your friend first got the game and wanted to duel you so badly that you banked all you gear before you went from Oasis over to kunark by raft and through Overthere and the forest with the giants to duel your eager friend outside iksar city, only for his character to get stuck underground and wait for a GM to help get him out
6)When a real GM would help you and not those guides
7)When there were no books everywhere that took all the adventuring out of the game

11.) Giving gold, silver, plat, armor and weapons to rats, snakes beatles in newbie zones. And not getting "I'm sorry Raolinx but I can not use this". Then Invisabling to watch a noob kill it and loot. Watching there reactions and then leading them to there Guild leader so they can get there spells.

12.) Remember the first time you got revenge on the mob who seemed to follow you around and kill you over and over? When all you needed was a simple drop for a piece of quest armor/item.

13.)Finally saving just enough plat to buy that First Class defining Item...Mine was a TDoK.

14.) Finally having enough plat to buy multiple class Items.

15.) Being able to participate in a group/raid to finally loot a class defining item.

16.) While in Lower guk, and fighting in the bedroom, some one yelled out that a mask just dropped. Then having a friendly mage lead you to it so you could Loot the mask of deception. Then later on doing the same for a fellow bard.

17.) Soloing a camp to get an item you didn't need but wanted. (burnoose of the halfbreed)

18.) Going to an empty zone and pull everything you could just to get a killer screen shot, but switching views usually lagged you out so bad you would die right after ward.

19.) Removing a weapon with 60 hitpoints to equip another item to increase regen only to Die because those hit points were keeping you alive. (Ok this one isn't really that old but was still funny)

20.) Remember your first class nerf?

hehe had to post more. Lots of good memories and some that made me want to pull my hair out.
