X3 what is your opinion

Just want to see what everyone elses opinion is on the new X-Men movie, was it everything you thought it would be? How did you think it compared to the previous movies? Do you think Ratner was good or bad for the film? And do you think the series as a whole stay true to the comics?

Just back from watching the movie. Not bad but not great.. I would have liked a bit more acting and a bit less special effects.

SPOILER ALERT!!

Was an ok movie but a few problems presented themselves in my mind.

I really am getting tired of their portrayal of Rogue. She rarely seems to do much and in this movie did even less. I'd have liked to see her play a larger part.

The bridge scene going from day to night in the blink of an eye was poorly done.

With a billion of the cures laying around I dont see why they needed to kill Phoenix instead of just have Wolverine stab her with one but at least the easter egg at the end of the credits lends some hope to the situation we may see her again.

I was annoyed with the President "understanding mutant needs" then *twitch * suddenly they are going to war with them then at the end of the movie *twitch* they are back to best buddies again.

Overall I think they tried to squeeze a little too much into the movie with too little real explanation.

I did think the beast was perfectly cast. Kelsey's voice is exactly as I always imagined beast to sound.

The movie basically failed in my eyes because it attempted to be 3-4 movies within a timespan 40 mins less than one of them would have taken to play out succesfully.

I did not like the fact that they put in so many new characters and failed to explain them and their roles they play in the X-Men world. Like the fact that it was Kitty Pride and Colossus that had the relationship not iceman. Or the fact that the boy should not have effect Juggernaut, because he is not actually a mutant. Or how about the fact that Juggernaut is Xaviers half brother, that is something huge I would think. Cobalt, I think your right, they tried to shove 3 or 4 movies into one.

It sucked. Terrible. Whoever made it must have just skimmed the comics (I could say that about the other two movies too).

Angel is a first gen mutant! Iceman is more powerful than Jean!

And Wolverine needs his yellow suit!
