I have "nailed my colors to the mast" I am sticking with Vanguard but I will be keeping my fingers crossed that if the player numbers drop Sigil have the resources to take appropriate action without needing SOE to rescue the game.
One problem with this is that it's SoE that created EQ2 and divided the player base of EQ! And 10 months after they released it and everyone had been paying to play Beta5 of EQ2, they changed the whole thing. They were trying to save their own hinnies!

Now, I could see Sigil actually bailing SoE's games out of the fire more than the other way around...which could be interesting, couldn't it?? hehe...!!!

Re: SOE and Vanguard: Whats YOUR take?

I will wait but I like to communicate my dislike for SOE every chance I get.

I guess Im gunshy. I bought my computer system to play SWG and it was really my only MMO experience. Now that I have had a year to try out all the other stuff out there, I want my house back. VSOH will give me my house again, so as much as I may complain, I will be there from day one and playing on the tenth anniversary.

Hopefully since Sigil and SOE are in my local area Ill be able to make all the fanfests.

Re: SOE and Vanguard: Whats YOUR take?

Hopefully, being in the (basically) midwest's southern region, some of the FanGuards will be closer to me!

Re: SOE and Vanguard: Whats YOUR take?

Totally lost cause to hope a fanfest (fanfest, fanguard - ???) would be held in chicagoland. I would go to milwaukee or indianapolis, but i probly wouldnt be able to go farther.

Re: SOE and Vanguard: Whats YOUR take?

I am taking a wait a see approach.

Wait and see how much SOE screws things up!

But seriously I think and hope everything should go smoothly, since SOE seems to have a very limited role in matters.
