Re: Diplomacy is too frustrating to learn.

Actually I found the most fun part of both diplomacy and crafting was the learning process!

I read the tutorials on diplomacy intensly! they are very good, IF you read them properly and apply what you have learnt at each stage..

If you dont understand something, read it again, try it again! there is no shame in re-reading a tutorial!

But Rithrin is correct once you start playing it and trying it for yourself it becomes quite obvious - Its like learning to drive a car, you can only read so much and be told so much.. you just have to do it!

The frustrating thing for me about diplomacy is that once youve got past the learning of a "new" and "different" system, its actually hideously boring, repetative and mostly un-rewarding compared to adventuring and even crafting! (complications in crafting keep it interesting for me)

Personally Im giving it a wiiiddee berth for many months for now.

And that's part of the problem -- Diplomacy is ALL about the reading. Especially when you're doing the quests/writs. If you don't read what they're telling you, you could likely miss some critical point (like where the NPC you need to meet is).

Same happens on the adventuring quests.... I seem to have a nack for that
