Exchange Broker Issues

Well title says it all, is the Exchange broken broken, bugged or ?

Tried on several ocassions, and theres a diffirent outcome each time.

Either I cant interact with the broker at all, or the search function dosent work. Other times I can place things for sale, but dont recieve the money when my items are sold.

I even lost some items when trying to place them for sale.

Also tried to put 20 Copper ore for sale, and when I did a search on it, it only displayed 2 avaliable in the stack.

Hmm, not sure really. I haven't had time to try it in game. Be sure to submit a /bug with situational details if you have time. Perhaps someone else has noticed this as well.

I have been experiencing strange bugs with money and brokers starting just this afternoon.

The Broker does not seem to want to list any of my items for sale. Sure, he takes my comission fee but the items never show up anywhere on the broker for sale. It appears that there is so much crap listed on the broker that the broker has "broke."

There is more than one page of stuff for sale, but you never see any more than one page. Severe database problem starting to happen.

ALso, with crafting work orders I am getting good results. Getting my experience and my rewards. Even got a rare lvl 10 crafting shirt with +22 tool use buff. That is the good news.

Bad News: Every crafting work order I have completed this afternoon is not rewarding copper or silver. Sure, the taskmaster shows me that he will give me 105 Fhaad, but when I take it from him, it just ends up in my inventory as a sack of Fhaad. No copper in my account.

I've tried selling this bag of Fhaad to a vendor. The vendor took it but did not give me any money. Instead, I got gipped out of my WO pay because the Crafting Supply vendor now has my bag of 105 Fhaad and he will resell it to me for 4 silver 50 copper.

I think the Republicans took over the work order and broker business. They are total cheats not paying me my wages and taking comission from me but never listing the items for sale.

Like I say, some serious database bugs cropping up all the sudden this afternoon.

I've had troubles with the exchange broker too. I seem to be able to list one single item of jute cloth with no problem, but if I try to sell a stack of 2 or more jute cloth, the broker doesn't react when I click the "List item for sale" button (price being entered correctly, enough copper to pay listing fees etc). Haven't /bug reported it yet, but will do so today.

Incidentally, is there a way to separate stacks of items in inventory? Say I have a stack of 5 jute cloth, want to sell 3 and keep 2, how do I do that? The exchange broker didn't give me the option to specify a quantity to sell.

We soon need a fix of this, its pretty tiresome.

Trading are a vital part of crafting.

The only fixed the little part where you get en explanation of wht you cant list items.

I sold a couple of garnet samples for 2s and I got the 2s in the mail. But when I double clicked on the coin in the mailbox, I got the message saying I had received 2s, but the amount of coin I had did not change. For example, I had 9s 27c, after getting the message that I had received 2s, I should have had 11s 27c. But instead the 2s didn't get added.

This used to happen pretty often back in beta -- you should have heard me swear the first time - I just sold packsful of vendor junk without really paying attention to whether my money was going up or not.

Fortunately, it was a cosmetic thing and relogging (or possibly quitting, I can't recall the workaround) would fix it. Might be worth a try here and now, too, just in case.

Here is what I know about this.

If you do a search by item name or seller, the broker normally works. Item level filters also appear to work. Those drop-down boxes are hit and miss.

If you put an item up, you must have the cost of the item in your inventory, or the broker will deny the request. You may only put 10 items up at a time.

Every once in a while, a player gets a real bug. He cannot see items that he put on the exchange, the searches do not work, and often the mail also does not work. Relogging fixes this.

It is worth noting that the exchanges are by continent only. You cannot purchase items from Thestra unless you are in Thestra.
