I absolutely love Diplomacy and think it is GENIUS! I was hooked immediately as well. I am astounded at the depth of all three spheres. I begin to /twitch just thinking about this game.

I would like to thank the Diplomacy design team for an amazing new aspect of game play.

I did not really think I would enjoy Diplomacy but I had a great time doing the Vulmane starter diplomacy and look forwrad to doing more !

Was wondering If in the future PvP Diplomacy will be possible ?

Yes, there will be diplomacy PvP on all servers since it is an opt-in activity like duels.

Aruspex has mentioned that the framework for it is already in, but it won't be available until post launch. He also mentioned something about policital parties, which will be group pvp.

I'll reiterate that PvP is something every one of us on the diplomacy team are excited about and eager to put in the game. Part of the objective of the diplomacy sphere is to foster an environment of social gameplay, and if you cannot interact with other players, how can we claim to have created that?

So there will for sure be PvP!

Wanted to give you guys a general update:

I'm just crawled out of my sleeping bag, having gotten a nice nap under my desk. Linear_core is asleep in his chair buried beneath a blanket with sun glasses & headphones on, Zahariel left just before dawn, like any good dark elf, and Aruspex finally went home after many days of staying here. We had our final data pull for live this morning at 5 and were working until the last second. While many of the changes we have been working on in the last few days have served to work the kinks out of our current content and systems (and to give New Targanor and Ahgram populations!), we hope that will give us a firm basis from which to start building more content and gameplay.

I hope you're as eager as we are for Friday! See you all there!
