My wish list for crafting system

These are thing i would like to see in Vanguard (someday)

1) Crafting gear recipes for Outfitter (not upgrade but creation)

2) Crafting Tools recipes for Blacksmith

3) Crafting Station recipes for Artificer (for use in player housing)

4) Harvesting revamp

4a - Complete removal of harvesting gear (excluding toolbelt)
4b - Added effectiveness to harvesting tools to compensate clothes removal
4c - Resource limit (for each node, deposit etc.) must be based on tier, rarity and skill of person harvesting
4d - Special harvesting bags should occupy slots in harvesting gear tab instead of general bags slots (they should take place of removed gear)

5) More logic into complication system, tool complication only appear on tool action etc.

Thats it, my 2 cents

This one is in the works, no ETA. There's a Vanguard Crafters thread somewhere with a comment that crafting stations *will* be player-made and placeable in houses, and another that states they'll be made by artificers. I'll see if I can't hunt down the links but in the meantime, don't quote me.

I have but one wish currently for crafting.

PLEASE, please, please give us an option to shut off the absolutely horrendous animations / sounds for the complications. There is nothing in the game (cept the CTD's) that aggitates me more than those. The complications suck, but I can deal with them. The animations annoy me beyond belief.

Sweet. Something I loved about SWG. That I could have a home and craft in private. Had a guildie make a comment about how it was antisocial and that people would never come out of their houses if they did that. I asked him how standing there, not speaking to the 5-7 other people next to me crafting away but not saying a word to any of them for 2 hours was any more social. None of us bonded by crafting 'next' to each other.

He just said...'Huh...Yeah, guess you got me there.'

Yeah, the absolute silence in most of the places I craft is a bit creepy. I know the /craft channel is usually pretty busy, but on my server it's become a bit of a clique (course I'd call it something else if I felt part of it ) and much of the chat on it is WTB, WTS, and WTT. Yawn.

People have forgotten about /say, or don't know it exists in some cases. Regional and global channels will do that to ya.

As for the animations -- I often play in first-person mode when I craft (which I never do otherwise, except in really close-quarters dungeons), partly to avoid the animations and partly to be able to see past all the #(*@*(&^ who feel they have to stand on top of me when there's plenty of room around the station. So I have a large personal pixel-space - sue me. Point being, you don't see the animations in first person mode.

u be suprised what a emote like /smellpits will start ;p, last time i picked my nose a flicked a booger at some one, and the emote war came to past usually if some one breaks the ice more wil join in the conversation

I stay in wolf form while crafting as I get no sound/animation on the complications. Now if I could just turn everyone around me into a wolf...or gerbal...
