Re: Crafters Table setup macro
both of those replies are a great help thank you. It's not the macros that are "bad" it's the automation of those macros that is unwelcome.
Right? (we really need a : puzzled : smiley )

Yes, unfortunately a few companies out there have devised ways to semi automate the crafting process. Sadly this has been the case with all games I have played over the last 16 yrs. I do know sigil is doing what they can to stop this from occuring. I am hoping that they devise a method such as a backend process scanner to alert them to such activity, yet this also can be undone with changing the process name & id of the application running ![]() With Vanguard however, it was developed with an intensive macro system to help people devise time savers and as stated before using these ingame macros you need to be at your keyboard to use them. A /listcommands crafting will show you all the slash commands that can be used for crafting at the various crafting benches. I currently use a number of the commands /refineadditem (My favourite) to setup either single items needed for custom jobs and macros with multiple entries to completely setup the table for the various different WO types (Based on Finishing & Refining and primary component used for each crafter) For my Blacksmiths, Outfitters and Artifacers I also have setup macros to automatically select the crafting recipe such as Copper Ignot or Copper Sheet and which you can see what recipes are named using the /recipesdisplay whilst targetting the table and select the one you want using /refinesetrecipe then setup using multiple /refineadditem commands in the macro For crafting I have sped up my crafting process by around 50% setting up macros on my primary bar no.2 using the /craftingselectstep and crafting /craftingselectaction (/craftingselectstep you can use it multiple times in one macro to count/select steps in reverse order from 5 to 1 which will in essence select the next available step then I have 1 to 5 setup for crafting action you wish to perform for that step. I have setup 0 and - for changing my /craftingchangeactivetoolbelt for tools that I might need in the other toolbelt and then set my = key to /lootall command to loot the finished item. The only thing I am clicking at this stage is the complications when they do crop up so in essence I have taken a lot of the time out of mouse scrolling and clicking and replaced them with number pushed macros I hope this helps in understanding the difference between user automation, requiring user intervention and the automation done by a botting program. Re: Crafters Table setup macro
I love the table setup macros have been using for awhile now. I had also started with the buttons for /craftingselectstep and /craftingselectaction but found a way to combine them. How would you like 6 buttons that would do all possible combinations of /step and /action? Look no further!
Hotkey 1 = Action 1 /craftingselectstep 7 /craftingselectstep 6 /craftingselectstep 5 /craftingselectstep 4 /craftingselectstep 3 /craftingselectstep 2 /craftingselectstep 1 /craftingselectaction 1 /lootall Now as this macro reads thru the lines it will execute the lowest step button that is not greyed out, so it will work from left to right. By hitting hotkey 1 you are saying "Select action 1 (first action button in the choice list after hitting the crafting table button) for the first non greyed out stage/section. First time thru you are loading your material, hit Hotkey 1 it selects step 1 and action 1. Repeat that macro 6 times since you can have up to 6 actions. Keep everything the same except change the action to 2,3,4,5,6. Hotkey 6 would look like /craftingselectstep 7 /craftingselectstep 6 /craftingselectstep 5 /craftingselectstep 4 /craftingselectstep 3 /craftingselectstep 2 /craftingselectstep 1 /craftingselectaction 6 /lootall You put these on hotkeys 1-6. Now all you have to do is hit the key of the action you want to perform, it will figure out the step on its own. I start off with 1, because i never use my resources for WOs. Ill use 3 if loading 5 bales of cloth. On the final step folding Ill always use 1 if enuff AP left otherwise I use 3. So I always click 1 and if there is not enuff AP it does nothing, then I click 3, if still not enuff AP then I click 2 for the 0AP finish. With the /lootall at the end of all 6 macros when your finished your item just pops into inventory. No loot window ![]() ================================================== ================ | Hotkey 1 | Hotkey 2 | Hotkey 3 | Hotkey 4 | Hotkey 5 | Hotkey 6 | | Action 1 | Action 2 | Action 3 | Action 4 | Action 5 | Action 6 | ================================================== ================ |

As far as Macro usage: Far as I know there are no looping maco commands so you have to be at the keypad to operate and for people using them to farm gold or in a way that is exploitable and will be punished severly even on test. |

These are in-game commands that are documented in the in-game help system. I personally use macros so I can tap keys on the keyboard instead of ruin my wrist making thousands of small mouse movements. I have a fair degree of confidence that's why the commands exist in the first place. ![]() |
