Which Utilities

I posted this question at VG Crafters..

I have a ton of utilities piling up on my crafters (wo drops) And while I have a crafter of each specialty I am still not sure who actually uses some of this stuff ...or when. Is there a list somewhere that provides this info and if so can I get a link?

And since the answer I got brought me back here (thank you Ysharros) ..I thought I'd ask the follow up question here also.

So according to that list there is no use for flux, softener, strengthener, thread or treatment ...can anyone confirm that?

I am not completely sure, but I think some of them end up being used in advanced recipes (house/boat stuff). As was said, there currently doesn't seem to be any benefit for using the named utilities over storebought, so I have just been selling them all off.

I use flux in initiate smelting. I assume the others are similar.

Some are used at higher levels yeah. As for the "special" variations on standard utilities, Silius posted on VGC awhile back that they don't do anything in particular right now -- other than stack in bigger stacks.

This surprised me, actually -- I could have sworn my corrosive solvent and heavy bandages worked better than the standard stuff... but it's so difficult to get hard data and so easy to make subjective judgements in games, let alone in VG's complex crafting system, that for the most part now I just don't believe my eyes unless Silius tells me otherwise.
