Re: Outfitter development
Outfitting is the generic skill and is used to make things liike subcomponents, or things which can be given to both specialisations, like harvesting clothes. If you don't keep that skill current you'll be missing out on about half the available work orders, and you'll have a hard time making most of your final specialised products.
Basically we get enough points to max out 2 Finishing skills with the third at zero.

Re: Outfitter development
Thanks for info guys. but 1 more question...
I got some points in leatherworking already and dont want them, and i clicked the minus button but it doesnt seem to be going down when i craft. Is is possible to re-allocate these points or will it mean that i will never be maxed out as tailor? /tiphat |

Re: Outfitter development
What Spicie said. Also, trivial and very easy recipes (and work orders) don't tend to give skill raises (allocate points) so if you're sticking to those, you might want to try a few easies or harder just to get those points moving.

Re: Outfitter development
yeah, it takes awhile to change skills but it can be done. I was a level 10 outfitter and orginally was going to go tailor, then changed to leatherworker. I grabbed moderate and difficult WO's and just grinded through them. Took about 1 to 2 hours at level 10 to completely change the skill around. (Keep in mind if your skill is very low you will not complete the WO, the majority of mine failed and I didn't see success, even Grade D until I was about 75% changed)
