Superb Crafting Quests
Having grinded my main character to 22 mainly doing workorders, i was surprised to find there is two types of Taskmasters who offer workorders.
1. Advertised workorders, both finishing and refined from npcs with Taskmaster above their names, these workorders give very poor exp. You have the option to use your own materials which will give a little quality when starting the penultimate crafting stage. 2 I call these the undercover taskmasters, they have no indication that they give workorders but i found several of now, one in Cail Brael, a Raki who stands near the blacksmith forges, he has a long list of work orders. Two more i know of are in Mekalia and another in Halgaraad. You cannot use your own materials to do these workorders. So whats so special about npc #2? Basically a set of moderate work orders (white in colour) will tend to give 5% exp per item, so your talking about 15% per set and the bonus exp for completing the set, and that is at quality grade C. It took my main character many hours of grinding orders to reach level 12, using these npcs you can make lvls 8-12 in a couple of hours. Ca'ial Brael: Farensh (Raki near blacksmith forges) Mekalia: Sil Dekrow (standing at a pillar near blacksmith forges) Halgarad: Magok Baltosh (standing outside inbetween the two main craft buildings) There is also a quest in Halgarad available around lvl 11 crafting reward is five amateur (tier two) rare items of your choice, available from an npc behind the crafting buildings. Quest is to make one simple item, Grade C is sufficient for rewards. Does anyone know of any more like this.... more WO NPCs like these ones.... more quests with fab rewards ? I have looked high and low and cannot find much information on any site.... a link would do... In fact a link to any good quest site would do lol... How I miss www.eq2i.com from EQ2 days. |

Re: Superb Crafting Quests
In Leth Nurae the superb Taskmaster is Luca Penderfield. You can find her near the entrance of Sinora Tailors and she gives WO for all professions.

Re: Superb Crafting Quests
Just a quick question - why are these called 'superb crafting quests'? or do you mean 'superb' as in 'cool! better XP'?
Also - can't say I'm 100% certain, but my AC guy was doing 5-6% on each creation at 7/8 but my 12 WC was doing like 1% the 2 he did before heading off on a quest. Anyone else see this? (Halgarad - both did moderates (of obviously diff levels))

Re: Superb Crafting Quests

A small question... I know i came across it here in one of the threads but now I don't remember which anymore. I was trying to fix the armor and sword for crafting quest (also in the same area of Farensh) and even going to grade A the equipment was always destroyed at the end. I don't remember exactly if there was a specification of which crafting skills were needed. Does anyone know how to proceed with this? Are there some requirements (like I am a minerologist and maybe armor is not what i'm supposed ot be fixing?). Thanks for the help I guess this was a bug and the new patch notes address the issue so problem solved (i hope)

Re: Superb Crafting Quests
Hmmm the 'superior" quest guy in Halgarad only has given coin rewards for me - even with Bs and occaisional A. Anyone elsE?
CB superior guy gives items as well as cash? Note the Halgard superior guy calls all his stuff 'batch of' but requests 3 of the items and the WO does not list rewards like "normal ones" do.
