Re: A moral dalema
Well it went kinda like this.
I was tryin to find her but didnt know the spot she told me she was at so I said send me an invite so I can find you. Few seconds latter she says im perty new you send the invite so I did and on my way to her I said in a tell "wow you sure do have alot a gold for being new" and got no reply to that comment. Now I cant go around sayin any one with rares at low lvl is a gold buyer cuz like I said my toon is only lvl 11 and im pushin 2 Supirior daggers of striking but the only resone is I made them my self. I dont realy know what I should have dun or thought about it but I just kinda wanted some other views on it. So thank you all for the posts so far. |

Re: A moral dalema
I think letting it go for now Stubby is the way to go, as much as I am in favor of hanging those who cheat, I'm even more in favor of not haveing witch hunts based on more than "well she looks like a witch"...
it is better for justice to be delayed than justice to be forgotten. In time nearly everybody gets caught...or becomes a politician. |

Re: A moral dalema
To speak plainly about what was said:
You have no proof beyond your thoughts that this person (or anyone else) is a gold buyer. Simply because you think they might be is a far, far cry from proof. I only state this because using a method such as this to try to judge people ends up getting a lot of innocent people in trouble. People don't question where you get your money, and you shouldn't worry too much about where others get theirs. So, she was new. Maybe she has a boyfriend or a husband who plays who gave her money. Maybe she earned it in some other way. Maybe she bought it. Who knows. It's not your place to judge because there are far more legitimate reasons than illegitimate ones.

Re: A moral dalema
I would support the "dont ask / dont tell" policy in this particular case. Not enuff evidence to even lean towards an assumption of gold buying.
Now if this was a level 1 toon named Cyrth and you checked out vgplayers.com and found Cyrth, Dyrth, Fyrth, Gyrth and Jyrth all level 1 toons in the top 10 of wealth then I might send the GM a petition to "look into it". |
