ok - I'll admit that I glanced over this conversation without reading every post in depth. I read the first two pages when the post was first started but only glanced thorugh the final tow pages tocaus, but I have a question

how is banning this "crafting mafia" a help? Isn't it just forming a different type of bully system?

I mean by not banning them people can imply support (purely circumstantial at best). however, once you add something else to the GM's duties like banning people for "price fixing" then you have a whole 'nother type of heavy.

do I agree with price fixing? no - but I don't think banning is the answer either.

As I may have said before (too lazy to look), if some cartel actually harasses a player in such a manner as to affect their game play or enjoyment of the game, there are rules and tools already in place to deal with it. We really don't want the GMs trying to affect the shape of the market, as long as they beat up on those individuals who don't abide by the current EULA.

there are mafia's on Thunderaxe Sig, but by in large they are humorous. Guildy just ran into the bag mafia. We had laughs for days while they threatened him.

"hey I see you've sold your bags for 40s" mafia

"yep seemed fair" guildy

"well WE find that 85s is a fair price, and want you to adhere" Mafia

"sure man.. oh wait nah I'll sell mine for 30s now thanks" guildy
