Having problems with making copper ingots

I am a fledging blacksmith and I tried four times to make a copper ingot. The problem is that I run out of action points by the time I reach the 3rd section of the crafting process. The thing is, when I checked, the recipe for making novice harvesting tools says i need a Grade A ingot to make a harvesting tool. But I am finding it impossible to make Grade A ingots without running out of action points, especially if I get complications. So do you guys have any suggestions?

What level are you? You will likely not be able to make them consistently until level 4-5, and you will only be able to do grade A consistently a couple of levels later. This counts for all of the recipes: You can't use them well immediately after you get them.
