Re: A Thestran starting his crafting career in Dwarven Lands
I is worth a shot; however, leave your recall in Tursh until you see if the Crafting Advisor there will start you on your way, you may need to gain some crafting faction first, but since you can't craft yet, that may not be possible. At least they are just down the long and windy road from Tursh.
Worst case, you should be through the basic tutorial and certified as a novice in a couple of hours after which you shouldn't have trouble. And coming back to Tursh for the advisors follow on lessons will always be an option if you don't get them there.

Re: A Thestran starting his crafting career in Dwarven Lands
I have a friend who decided to base in BC instead of his hometown. He started after the newbie quests, though. I would do the starter quests in Tursh, then start on easy single work orders in BC so that you can get enough faction for the recipes.

Re: A Thestran starting his crafting career in Dwarven Lands
Well last night before servers went down I did the crafting training in Tursh. Then I decided it was time to go to the Dwarven Lands. So after I took wrong paths twice and died, I found a path with no aggroing mobs.
Unfortunately, then servers went down and I wasn't able to check to see what crafting I could do in another city. I will let you all know tonight as soon as I find out! |
