Crafting tools + clothes

I bought a +6 saw last night which should increase my ability to use the tool right? does it make the progress go fast and quality a little better to or less complications. Since I have a +6 Saw will that also require me to have some extra skill in whatever skill it is that allows be to use that good +6 saw such as sculpting. I think my sculpting is pretty high, but i didn't seem to notice any difference when using this expensive saw, i think i even got a complication using it. What I am trying to find out is how much difference would say a +2 saw and a +6 saw make for me, I don't know what clothes would help my sawing skill.

Any help appreciated.

The difference is 4.

Ok seriously, there are many variables in the crafting process. They all have effects on different parts of the process. Tool effectiveness compliments your crafting tool skills. Even if the upgrade may seem small, sometimes that 1-2% increase in progress or quality is enough to make the difference between success and failure of a tougher item.

Hi all, I am having trouble finding information on the crafting tool quality names. I was able to make the improved needle (outfitter -Tailor) and then received a reward for doing a work order that was a reliable needle. Both say the same thing and are level 10. My question is which is better and how do you tell? Is there a list of tools in order of quality?

My bold assumption is that if the stats are the same, the items are the same.

Yep, if the stats are the same, the tools are the same. Only difference is if you prefer blue vs. green.

If they aare the same then what's the point of having two items that are the same but are called different things? Weird, I'll never understand the logic...
