Re: Why are harvesters not buying crafted tools?
One of the artificers is also experiencing problems... according to him the end tier2 recipe quest is broken, so he cant get into tier3. Dunno if its the same with the blacksmiths.

Re: Why are harvesters not buying crafted tools?
I think part of the problem is just the generally weak market.
I wish Vanguard had started their games with empty vendors, or rather vendors which only sold the bare-bones newbie equipment. SWG started their markets that way and as a result, crafting instantly became part of the community. The only way to get higher-end items was to buy them from crafters. EVE had a similar idea by introducing new items as blueprint drops, which gave people limited monopolies until they seeded the NPC vendors several months later. So far, it appears to be more important to get things in loot... and thus the entire market system is on the back burner. The only problem there, is that if the community gets used to loot drops as the primary means of advancing their equipment, they won't bother to check the market when it IS finally addressed. I think it's gonna be a lean couple of months for us crafters. Better stock up on the ramen noodles for now. |

Re: Why are harvesters not buying crafted tools?
It's not the usefulness... I'm just generally ignorant as to what crafters can make. I'd have never thought to check the market for harvesting tools before seeing this thread. Not that I harvest much... or use the market much so far... but still... maybe others are like me and don't realize they have an option besides the NPC vendors.

Re: Why are harvesters not buying crafted tools?
Speaking of, as far as I know I am the leading lumberjacker on Flamehammer and I'm looking for some tools, but I haven't seen much of them on any of the brokers for the 3 continents.
Is anyone making good axes and hammers on Flamehammer?

Heh, one of the flaws of being an altaholic... I can't make an avatar for Vanguard until I've settled on a "main". Vanguard is even worse... not only are all the races cool (except Gnomes -- *poke*), and all the classes are interesting and different from each other... but even the crafting professions require choices.

Re: Why are harvesters not buying crafted tools?
I bought a crafted reaping tool from the vendor last night just because of this thread. I haven't use it yet though hehe.

Re: Why are harvesters not buying crafted tools?
To be honest, I didn't even know you could buy player created tools. Not that I didn't think it was possible, I've just never been fortunate enough to catch someone while they were auctioning them. I don't use the broker, its a pain in the arse and doesn't work the majority of the time. Though I can truthfully say that I doubt that these tools make much difference. I mean sure they might allow me to pick up more than 10 pieces of sandstone from one quarry node, but if I need more I can just run to the next node. And it saves me the money I would have to spend on tools and such. Though for rare materials I could definately see this as being quite worthwhile. Otherwise, though..
