Minerlogist recipes etc..

I started the level 11 quest for amateur advancement and i have a question. The quest requires one to make a couple things then he will allow you acess to amateur recipes i guess. I have learned all the recipes i can which was to level 8 in Lomshir. The quest needs a slate block. I have basalt block recipe but where do i get a slate block recipe? Also the barbed board, I can make a weakened board but how do i make a barbed weakend board without the recipe? I must be missing something somewhere any assistance will be grateful..Also any guides that has to do with mineralogist would be nice i think i am a slow at grasping some of this hehe.

The recipes should be under the "Special Recipes" section. They require tier 2 materials (6 slate blocks and 1 piece of barbed timber). So you'll either need to bump up your harvesting to 100 or buy the materials off the broker. Once you have the materials use the recipes in the Special section to complete the quest.

I completed the quest but I haven't been able to get to the amateur recipes yet. I'm on the road with work or I would check the regular recipe trainer (someone else's suggestion from another thread) but I can tell you the guy who gives you the amateur quest probably won't have any recipes for you when you finish the quest.

i have the seeking the trainer quest and have same problem cant complete the quest and no barberd timber or slat bloce or artet refining.
Here is the Wierd thing! I can go to my original trainer get reciepies (only finishing reciepies) who also gives ya the new reciepies for fininshing.
Not sure if she gines refining for jade and such. I am going on level 17 and can not get the refining reciepies either search for hrs to complete this quest ,was bugged because I had a compase mark and it lead me to a dead end. Why would we have finishing reciepies before refining reciepies? I have herd A few that have gotten them not sure how or off who. But we are not along by far on this issue.
