Question Harvesting

I am confused at this point and need some help. I chose artifacter as primary crafting now with that I choose lumberjacking as primary harvesting and mining (copper nodes etc.) is that thye correct 2nd harvesting skill for me? The work orders I see all seem to involve the other type of harvesting (Basalt)
Any help would be apprecitated and Also I can make jewelery correct??

Re: Harvesting

Mining (Copper and such) is for Blacksmithing. As an artificer you'd probably be better off with Quarrying which is gathering stone (Basalt, Slate, etc). The stone also gives the stones you need for the jewelry. (Quartz, Garnets, etc). And yes, you can make jewelry.

Re: Harvesting

Primary harvesting skill should also fit for your crafting specialization.

Its a bit harder to lvl your secondary skill, than the primary.

Most of what I have read says primary/secondary is just a label and doesn't affect anything in terms of leveling or harvesting actions. Has there been any testing that demonstrates the difference?

That said, I would put my crafting specialty harvesting in primary just so I always switch secondarys if I want a change of pace.

Re: Harvesting

My mining skill has always been far behind my primary skill which is quarrying.

I have not hit Tier4 Quarrying ( Limestoen ) and im still stuck at iron with mining.

There can be lots of explanation for this, like stones being more common in some areas than nodes. However I think I in general have ssen as many node as I have slabs, so therefore my oppinion on it.

If someone else is experiencing same, or something diffirent speak up
